I've used this for about an hour. 4 of the wheels have sieze up. Only one set revolves. IMO a complete waste of money.
Effective in the beginning but only lasted a few hours…the wheels fell off
So it does work and makes a difference when you're steaming off wall paper. However, the spiked wheels run on cheap plastic shafts which squeak and jam up. I would recommend putting a drop of lubricant on each wheel shaft before every use. Despite being a three legged device it doesn't seem to touch all the wheels at the same time which reduces the effectiveness, it's a difficult balance between enough pressure to puncture the wall paper without leaving a trails of holes in the plaster. I'd be happier if it was £10.
Worked really well with the zinsser wallpaper stripper, made light work of the horrible wood chip , I did pre wet the wall before using tho , excellent tool if used correctly
After twenty minutes of using this tool, two of the wheels fell off. I had to take it back for a refund. Totally useless. Too flimsy. Granted, the wallpaper I was removing had been painted, but it should have handled that.
It does what it should be it can snag and tip quite a bit. The wheels could do with pivoting more freely
I saw this on Aubrey’s Absolute Decorating on you tube and was really impressed with how well it worked. Paper came off like a video of it being applied shown in reverse. Striped a wall in a few minutes with no deleterious material remaining. Brilliant.
Had used a paper scorer many years back, and it was rubbish. Needed to get a large area of ceiling paper off, which I had put up almost 30yrs ago... I'd done too good a job.
Looked around and saw the Paper Tiger with the 3 heads and 3 double spike wheels on each. Absolutely brilliant. Quick and easy to score. Paper soaked thru and scraped off really easy.
I would recommend this tool to help get woodchip off the walls
Reasonably effective at scoring wallpaper, including painted woodchip. However, it's expensive for what it is and, disappointingly lightweight and flimsy construction.
Lasted about 5 mins and fell apart
Worked well on one wall, then literally started falling apart one wheel at a time. Would have been worth the money had it not been so frail. In the end, a waste of money for me.
Needs a bit of force on thick or painted over paper but works okay
After three walls of woodchip two of the wheels fell off.
Useful tool helped get a room stripped for repainting.
It makes lots of little holes so the water can soak into the wallpaper. But be careful not to push too hard as you will end up with lots of little holes in your plaster also.
great tool if used correctly ,(not to much pressure and make many holes) steam penetrates to the paste and paper comes off easily, able to cover a large area quickly.
