Door gearbox went on my front door,took off old mech and found this to be a perfect match for my door,easy to take apart and fit new gearbox to make front door work again.

Fantastic, the gearbox on my Upvc door broke on Saturday morning….. found a replacement on Toolstation, not as expensive as I thought it was going to be. Replaced the gearbox and the door was back in working order within 2 hours.
Perfect replacement for our broken door! Gentleman in Huntingdon was great at checking against the lock I took in - as whilst website gives some specifications - impossible to tell if really was identical / would work / was the wrong lock from info on-line! Had my door in pieces as I thought it was just the barrel initially. Measured the previous inside lock and managed to get this overnight. Fitted quite easily, although instructions would have been very helpful as when you put this on the door runner things have to be in a certain position. After having cancer in the family we couldn’t afford a locksmith so had to do this ourselves which took around 3 hours.
Only marked as 4/5 as I couldn’t get this the same day and we couldn’t shut our door.
These gearboxes are smooth operating, and are widely used, secure, and safe, and with the right lock combination are very good.

Just replaced two gearboxes on front and back door. Be careful the holes to secure the gearbox to the steel plate were not threaded. Luckily had a tap the correct size but check before you leave as you won’t be able to fit it.
A perfect replacement for the fitted failed unit, simply removed the lock assembly and changed out the lock.
Bought this to replace broken gear box, perfect fit and better quality than gearbox already fitted to do.
