i have it just for five days and i had to get into the house from the window because this piece of crap was been blocked and coudnt open, had to break it to be able to open the door . waste of money

As you would expect from Yale, the product is perfectly manufactured and straightforward to fit.
Beware the dimensions quoted are the same for two different sizes and some are missing. I had to return one (the smaller one) and purchase the larger one. Part no 62901 is smaller than 80821
Great quality product, solid and good value for money. This replaces a batch of poor quality night latches we installed during recent renovations. I am now systematically replacing all with the Yale night latch. 3 screws on back plate and I can use the existing locking barrel with new Yale latch. No requirement to change keys for tenants.
Nothing wrong with the lock….just the staff, bang on 7oc started hassling customers to leave !

Yale are known as one of the best lock manufacturers for a reason. This is a high quality product, easy to install and great value for money.
Easy replacing old style lock and covered marks on door, also adds deadlocking which prevents credit card trick.
It's 6pm on a weekday evening and soneone breaks the handle off your yale lock. Just the ability to get one at short notice is enough for mr.

We've had 3 of these locks on our front door over a 14 year period as the button deadlock broke off on the previous two (after about 7 years of use) the reason being the button/switch inside was riveted metal into plastic slider and was always loose from purchase, after many uses the button pulled out of the slider inside (bad design basically), this one clearly has been redesigned with a smooth solid button/switch so fingers crossed this will last for ounce.
Good strong lock that is straightforward to fit. I bought this to replace the rear portion of Yale's deadlock the one with the big handle, about £70.00. Turns out that that lock is a massive pain to fit and when you do manage it because the part where the flat bar goes into is blanked off the whole thing then rapidly disassembles because of the tension which this then applied to the spring washer that holds the back plate on.
But I digress.
This is a good little lock the is straightforward to install, it feels strong. The only failing is the handle naturally droops a little which is a bit annoying.
