Really happy with the lock. After reading some mixed reviews I was a bit apprehensive about whether I’d made the right decision. However installation was relatively straightforward and the lock looks great. I would recommend using a combination of the video tutorial for install and the paper instructions that come with the lock. Auto Unlock feature works great and means the door automatically unlocks as I approach.

A nightmare to install - I don't mean fitting, that was easy, but getting it to work was terrible.

Unfortunatly, it was the only option I found with the features I wanted and colour. It does look very nice and build quality is ok, but it's defenitely not worth the money. I don't regret buying it as I said, I couldn't find anything else with these looks and specs, but I don't recommend this product unless you're in the same situation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Best security feature and it’s a fantastic design. All the capability in the product is the medicine and also the battery life last quite a long time and the installation was very easy.

Awful. No battery life, fails constantly

This is awful. Have tried all different batteries and none last longer than a month. It is temperamental and seems to beep constantly. Saving to buy a new front door and going back to a traditional key

Not bery smart at all, a little bit stupid really

The lock is fitted and working but there is an issue with the bridge so unable to connect to either the Bluetooth or the wifi which defeats the purpose really. I am told this is a national problem bit no contact from Yale to say when it might be rectified and i can start using the lock as anything othet than an expensive door lock with no smart features.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this to test out and review on Influenster, Iv used the well known brand Yale before it’s a very good brand. It was abit tricky to put on as it had to have a certain distance and for it to work well. It takes aa batteries in it which have to be changed in future which was a downside. We connected it to the app and started testing it out. It worked nicely each time and I liked the option when the handle is up it automatically locks the door which is fantastic feature. But sometimes we struggled to unlock or connect to it.

Inconsistent Bluetooth, very poor battery life

Bought this lock 3 years ago. It's very temperamental, Bluetooth unlocking was inconsistent, we purchased the WiFi module and now batteries last 2 weeks. Yale support acknowledge there is a battery draining issue but won't replace as out of warranty

Terrible, Complete Fail, ended up having to return. A number of issues encountered right from the start. Final bit was when it locked us out, and Yale had to give us a list of approved locksmiths.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a game changer! I love smart solution for the house. It is important to check, which one is compatible with your doors. Installation isn’t that hard, it is better to be done by professional and brand itself offer it. Great design, looks very luxurious, and will fit to most of colours. It is solid unit, do not feel cheap or flimsy, which is great. It is easy to set up and works like a dream after all set up is done! I am considering one for my back door not!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This works very well. When arriving home, the door is unlocked automatically and I do not have to mess around with keys. This is particularly useful when carrying objects like shopping bags and not having to put them on the wet floor to find my keys in my pocket.
I have also integrated the lock with Phillips Hue lights. I have set some of them to a red colour when the door is unlocked. This has warned us a few times that the door is unlocked. I can unlock the door remotely to let in family and friends if we are not home.
There are so many negative reviews about this product – I have my own thoughts as to why. Firstly, I believe that if the mechanism is not aligned correctly, it is going to cause problems later down the road. From batteries not lasting long and to the unit prematurely failing; this more than likely down to increased friction. Secondly, several users of the Z Wave module have also been highly critical. One aspect about Z Wave devices which needs to be appreciated is Z Wave does not use the existing Wi-Fi signal, it uses its own network and a different frequency. Therefore, in order for the device to work optimally, the lock has to have access to a strong Z Wave signal. Most Z Wave devices which are mains powered repeat the signal and improve the strength and range of the network. If the signal is weak, it will have a negative impact on the battery life.
I use rechargeable batteries for the lock.
