Prevents my wife having to use the keypad which can be awkward when leaving the house with 2 toddlers.
Good product.
Haven't used them much so don't know how robust they are. The fob works, though there is no feedback confirming armed or disarmed. The disable switch is good to have to prevent accidental pressing
Excellent, easy to operate, and just right size, not too big or too small, may be a led green to show Alarm is armed and red led to show alarm is disarmed, would help seniors who are hard of hearing.
Very easy to set up and use, I bought this for my parents to have access and it's so much easier rather than using the keypad.
The buttons are far too easy to depress so accidental setting (or worse, disabling) are common. This is due to poor design (don’t have these problems with my car remote locking for example). ok so there’s a switch on the side to disable the buttons but that is the wrong way to fix the problem as it makes it very fiddly to use and it’s almost impossible to read which way is on and which is off. Finally the screw fell out and the whole thing fell apart less than a year after buying. Poor design, badly built, not recommended
Agree with other reviews about the poor design - can't see the symbols and I don't know how this product is inclusive for all users. The equivalent Key Fob for the HSA6000 range is much more user friendly and it's half the price!!
Instructions are very poor - spent ages trying to get it paired and concluded it may not have a battery in it or the battery was dead. It was only when I took the retaining screw out that I noticed the sliding switch on the side! THIS FEATURE IS NOT EVEN MENTIONED IN THE PRODUCT INSTRUCTIONS.
Functions (Arm, Disarm, Part arm) could all be better identified. Don't it use now as too fiddly in low light.
The key fob works 100%. My only issue is that I am unable to see the 3 positions it has, these would have been better highlighted in white, consequently we dont use it now.
Didn’t even last a week and fell apart. Tried to put it back together but never worked again
It works ok but it’s the wrong shape and too small
it doesn't really work and you can't see the symbols
This fob shipped with my alarm kit. You can hardly see the tiny symbols engraved on the fob. All same colour. Not possible to differentiate between buttons using your touch sense either. We kept pressing the wrong buttons. Useless key fob. We ended up relying on the mobile app instead.
Technically this woks fine but the design is appalling. It's all black with only an imprint on the rubber buttons to show what each does. So in low light it is near impossible to ensure you press the correct button.
Neither is it tactile so you cannot feel/be sure which button you are pressing. That is further exacerbated by the fact that the key ring clip is at an angle. At least if it was vertical you'd have a better chance of working out which button was which.
It's predecessor (on our old system) was much clearer.
The same goes for the keypad which may look stylish but which has grey lettering for each function which again makes seeing it difficult - until you are used to pressing the right button.
Easy to add device to the app for your alarm system and also easy to use to activate and deactivate alarm.
The buttons are so small and would not be visible in a dim light. It is far inferior to the other key fobs used in other alarm models.
Difficult to use as legends for Arm, Part Arm and Unlock are just pressed into the black plastic case so are not easy to see even in the day time. The keyring is set at the wrong angle. If you hold your keys in your hand and look at the fob the indicator light is at 5 o'clock and the buttons go from 7 o'clock to 1 o'clock with the legends upside down. All in all a bad design
Used twice then it stopped working. Am now unsuccessfully trying to prise it open with a knife to change the battery but am about to break it.
Can't see any instructions on the internet.
It would be much clearer to identify the buttons if they were colour coded or fitted in with how the app depicts the various states of the alarm
Works well and handy to have in addition to the mobile phone
I already had one key fob with the alarm system but found I was using it more then the key pad. It made sense to buy another fob for my husband to use. So simple and you don't have to bother with entering numbers. Just click the padlock symbol when you leave the house and click the unlock padlock symbol when you get back.
