Snapped in half the first time I used it. The other one I bought (diff size) had to be returned due to a split in the wood.

Fits the broom head perfectly. I have had the same broom for the last 20 years! It has only had 17 new heads and 14 new handles.
As far as pieces of wood go this was very strong at both ends, I’d say could be a little stronger in the middle, maybe more girth to it would help but we can’t have girth and length I guess. Colour was fantastic until wet then just went darker I’m also guessing after sometime getting wet will probably also go soft and need replacing. Head was an additional cost. But would buy again.
It's a broom handle! Straight grained without knots, had to cut of threads to work with the mop head I bought with it.
