Glass bulb with metal BC cap the same as traditional lamps. The light given off isn't very intense and as they are clear not evenly spread.
They are 1.8W so this isn't a complaint just an observation and why only 3 stars given.

Save me loads on my electrical bill and because they're clear lens get more light when you wait for my 4 watt light bulb with a white lens on it which blocks light this is the modern type of the old type which you're showing above because that more like like lighting and cheaper to run at 1.8w 360 angle angle and they do not get hot which is good for your electrical wiring makes it vast longer heat is bad for wiring but these lights both run not warm which means the wiring a last longer safer
Grand bulbs if you want a not too bright light, such as for in a porch, they emit a nice subtle light with is just the right brightness to welcome you home.
These are better than old filament lamps they replaced
