This was my third kit, and easy enough for me to reinstall just the tap. The lever ones only lasted 4 or 5 years in our hard water area, but I note the new tap and it looks sturdy enough to last longer. Would be good if you could stock the tap on its own.
This product is good I buy last week from Wolverhampton branch but some fitting was missing
The solution provides a 3/8” pipe and 3/8" fitting for the filter, but the tap is for a 1/4” pipe and there is no adapter is provided nor 1/4" pipe. On bringing this to the attention of CalMag and Toolstation we were sent the missing brass fittings but still no 1/4" pipe so couldn't connect to tap. We decided to take it back as the supplier, such a waste of time, they don't understand their own product. Also the printed instructions has many typographical errors including:
- colour of of pieces at not the same;
- "1/4” tp 3/8” reducer in brass, Qty2 were not supplied;
- Drinking tap fitting 3/8” (it is 1/4”)
Good price easy to fit and looks smart as comes with own drinking water tap.
Came with incorrect parts. Had to buy separate 3/4F to 3/8” push fit connector to fit the pipe they provided in the kit. Once fitted the self cutting tap leaked from the top blue marker so tightened with a flat head to stop it but doesn’t fill me with much confidence in the product. Really disappointed
Had to return the filter kit twice first time no fittings second wrong size fittings.So got a full refund .Staff where excellent.
I have now fitted this. It was easy to fit and works well. You can taste the difference in the water. The only thing to watch out for is the blue 1/4” tube is on the short side. But with a little planing I fitted it and had just enough tube for the job. Plus I had no leaks.
Pictures and documents state that some parts are made of Brass.. they are not... it looks like a cobbled together kit. something scrapped up from the warehouse floor. easily leaks.
Easy installation. Can't go wrong. Don't even need the instructions.

Didn't come with fittings to connect filter to pipe. Had to purchase separately
Good value for money. Only gripe is the tube isn’t long enough, needs to be twice the length
I have to give that rating, not because the tap filter isn't any good, but because when I opened the box, the only things inside were the filter cartridge, the fixings bag and one very short length of tube. Toolstation need to do better with their stock control and check when boxes have been re-taped up.
The parts I recieved are not as depicted in the catalogue, plastic fitting, not brass as shown, consequently one of the fittings snapped, plastic pipe was so short I was unable to make the connection.

Good product, the only criticism is that that blue tube need to be at lead 0.5m longer, making the connections was very tight.

Great product. Water tastes much better, even when left over night which was previously not an option before.
I am a complete novice and found it very quick and easy to install. Now I just hope the cartridge stays in stock for a good few years.
