Unless you have a draught free area, it is better to have this thicker 25mm insulation that the 15mm pipe version gives. The 19mm pipe version has thinner indulation and the economy is only 14mm insulation so a few days of very cold weather will penetrate it, especially if the water does not flow much. The plastic water pipes are a bit more forgiving in frosty weather but don't risk it.
Good quality pipe insulation, easy to fit and does exactly what it’s meant to do. Fits snugly, stays in place, and has already helped reduce heat loss. Very happy with the purchase
Good think insulation to use as a bumper. Quick and smooth purchase
The size needed, pre cut so just a case of pushing into place and shortening as needed
Very good product easy to cut and fix. good depth and fit
Good quality insulation especially for the price and would definitely recommend
Difficult to open up making it difficult to snap over pipes. No data on actual u value but it would appear to do the job.
Fairly price product that insulates indoor pipes well. It is not suitable for outdoor applications that are open to the elements. l have used this product before and would be happy to use it again should the need arise.
Could have bought this cheaper from a plumbing merchant but they were closed and i needed to finish a job. Its super chunky especially for a 15mm pipe so may not be suitable for sime installations due to its thickness but great for lagging pipes in a loft space.
A great product, but you do need to understand how to cut round/out pipe joints and othere copper fittings, taps etc. It is easy to cut with a stanley knife, but if you need "internal curved material" removed then you do need a narrow bladed "stanley knife". I was using the thickest available to cover 15mm external copper pipe work. Because of the thickness of the material I made a slight cut along the inside of the "hole in the middle" to make the outside more flexible. Remember that it does not bend round right angle corners or similar, so you need to make 45 degree cuts to make the right angle. You can glue ends together to make a "solid" finish but I use "silver sticky tape".
Super easy to cut with a Stanley knife, perfect insulation for my pipes
Excellent quality lagging, solid construction and easy to cut to size without falling apart.
Did the job. Doesnt break easily and easy to cut with a stanley knife to shape
Just the job. Plenty of insulation to protect against sub zero temperature's. Not cheap but compared to the cost of frozen pipes well worth the money.
Peace of mind for protecting pipes exposed to outdoor temperatures. Not cheap but better than cracked pipes and having to repair. Gets the heat where you want it as well for heating pipes.
Wanted to make extra sure pipes were insulated properly so went with the more expensive lagging. While its 4 x more expensive, its only £4 to £1 so worth the extra imo
Bought these to insulate the central heating pipes under the floor before insulating the floor, used these particular ones for the extra wall thickness, did the job great.
As far as I can so far tell
It really should work very well.
Only frosty nights will prove
If its nicely in the groove!
It's specs are high
And it's cost are low
So it should save us
Loads of dough
Good quailty insulation and superior to those found in other chains of DIY outlets
Good pipe insulation and was thicker than the cheaper option. But a bit over priced for what it is.
