An excellent product. Room feels warmer all ready. Need plenty of adhesive which I applied by roller. Difficult to cut as previous reviewers have stated and tricky on outside corners. Don't be put off though.
Easy yo order and collect. Looks quality paper and can't wait to see on the wall
Feels much warmer to the touch than before. Very strong, doesn't tear. Fairly easy to apply if cut accurately to size on a straight wall, but it won't slide into place so under and around pipes etc is difficult so we cut it so that the cut was hidden behind the pipe. Bends ok on inside corners but doesn't like going around outside ones ! Easy to fill cracks and gaps with flexible filler but paper scuffs if you try and sand it smooth so we smoothed it with a wet float before it dried.
This product took a room prone to condensation (and the associated mould) into a pleasant room, with no condensation. Covered the outside walls of the room with KV600, a coat of emulsion and the job done. Excellent. Room walls no longer feel cold to the touch.
It does exactly what it says. Kept the room noticeably warmer in the colder months. A bit of a challenge to install due to thickness but worth the effort.
Looks like good wall insulating material. I haven't actually fitted it yet.
Great product. Been suffering from cold with 2 outer walls in the bedroom. Room feels warmer already
I did this and some other warmth measures in the upstairs bedrooms. Overall been really successful and I think this paper is well worth it. The alternative of redoing cavity wall or insulating plasterboard would never have been cost effective
Very easy to use as long as you put plenty of the supplied adhesive on the wall. One word of advice, have a good pair of scissors as it's quite tough to cut, even with a Stanley knife.
Have used this material before it is effective at making the walls feel much warmer. The finished surface is ideal for painting so no requirement for lining paper provided the wall is smooth enough to begin with, though the material does even out irregularities. Be aware it is not that easy to cut so sharp knife or sharp scissors are needed to do the job. Very pleased with the results and will use again
The way the roll is packaged, the edges seem to come in very distorted (gave the first one back). The product is hard to cut, you need to score and cut with some very sharpe wall paper scissors. Butting up the joint lines is very hard and the look after is not great (mostly attributed to the packaging of this product). To get a half decent finish, cover with wallrock smooth liner.
This thermal liner has made a significant difference to the temperature in the room where we lined the outside walls of a bedroom. Really needs two people to put up but we will be planning on lining other room soon
Product itself is very good....Unfortunately half way through the roll there were many creases that would not flatten out...We had to cut out the damaged areas..This is not a good practice when the roll is so expensive...This is not toolstation's fault but the fault of the manufacturer. Probably would not buy again as it made the job much harder than it needed to be.
Fiddly, but does work well.
It's good stuff and tuff I'm not sure how thermal and sound proof it is yet as it has to be put to the test. Only down fall is its very expensive along with the adhesive and you have to re-line paper it to get rid of the seams. It's not much cheaper than a plaster skim if you have high ceilings and take up a loy of time.
adhesive is shocking and doesn’t stick tried with a roller and then a brush, a bit better with a brush but as soon the paper touches the surface the paste dries out so you have to re paste 2-3 times especially if you have to peel back for any cuts I just hope it does the right job for the client for all the hard work
Quite hard to work with. I watched a couple of instructional videos. The back of this is felt, so it absorbs paste. Do not use a roller - use a synthetic block brush with thick bristles because you need a ton of paste on the wall. It is also very difficult to cut, so have plenty of fresh blades to hand. I would recommend papering over it.
