Expensive but so worth it. Makes hanging wool rock thermal paper and fibre paper so much easier.
I'm told this is a replacement to the old bitumen lined brown paper of the past?
It's lightweight and easy to paste on the walls but you must use the damp stop thermic adhesive in conjunction with this product.
It went on easy and you have to leave it 48hrs to properly dry before wall papering over but if you follow the guidelines it seals against moisture penetration.
The proof of its effectiveness will be in the next few winter months but so far I'm pleased with the results.

Appears to do what it is intended to do.
Dilute some as a primer and then applied to the wall to stick paper to wall.

Not used the adhesive fully yet but it works well and does the job it's designed for.

I researched this product a lot, the reviews were both ends of the scale. I personally found it to be rubbish! Hard to apply the Dampstop 'Thermic' product it's designed for & l have now removed it, because the glue only "set" in places, as the moisture can't escape through the fabric. It might work on a very porous wall, but I will never risk using it again. I wasted too much time & money. Disappointed!!!

On the label instructions it has the option to use two layers offset so there is no joint exposed. I would only try this if you can give each layer a week or so to dry, given the construction of the product to make it damp. proof. Otherwise it goes on far easier than a similar product I have used in the past. It still remains to be seen how effective it is.
Very easy to hang and is being used to cover areas of wall that appear permanently damp and the previous wall covering was always discoloured. I used the Thermic adhesive as well which appears to provide excellent adhesion to the damp walls. So far so good but as the Dampstop has only been up 3 days I haven’t given an “excellent “ review
I saw this had a lot of good reviews but I was disappointed with it. Maybe mine was from a bad batch but it was not tacky enough to hold the membrane to the wall without using three quarters of the tin on two 90cm lengths of the membrane.
I tried this for the first time. It’s the best I’ve used. Does a great job and goes a long way. Very pleased.

Essential for applying damp stop foil, it has brilliant adhesion and is specifically formulated for walls with historic damp issues that will if not treated or cover will damp foil - often stain wallpaper and paint over time. Only annoyance is it’s a next day product and not in stock in store
