Unsuitable - wrong dimensions. Would have helped had these been included in description rather than me having to check in-store.
Bought this to replace a Bristan shower union which was poor quality and made of plastic.
This is solid brass, and not likely to need replacing any time soon, unlike the 3 year old Bristan union. The threaded pipe attached can be removed but be aware that the threaded pipe is reduced in size where it attaches to the actual union. Amazing value & quality! Thanks Toolstation! Would have scored a perfect 5 star score if the threaded pipe attached was the same size throughout making it easier to replace only the union.
I wanted a brass fitting which are always more than the cost of this outlet, i am very impressed that it is brass and great quality, it looks great in the bathroom and the plumber had no issues fitting it

Good quality replacement Wall Union Elbow - upgrading to chrome shower fitting.
Did the job and although it had to be cut to size it was easy to fit and great value, half the price of many competitors.

Better than expected. Long threaded section at least 50mm …BUT more importantly there is a nut on the thread to fasten / tighten up against the structure you’re fitting it to. Neither of these are shown or in the description- which is a shame as they are an added bonus
Superb quality although thread to short to clear depth of wall. Branch rescued the situation with necessary parts, everything fits and works as it should. Happy wife, happy life.
Pleasantly surprised with the quality of this. It's very solid - chromed metal with no plastic (except for the trim). When I've used similar products before they are designed to screw in to a female 1/2" BSP wall plate sealed with PTFE tape. This one is designed to compression fit straight to copper pipe with olive and pipe nut (neither of which are supplied). The tail is very long (45mm) and I didn't have that much cavity so ended up having to cut about an inch off the tail. It went in to a 1/2" wall plate fine. If you have to cut the tail I suppose you will no longer have the option of compression fitting straight to copper - because you lose the bevelled seat for the olive.
Bought to put through a wall into a shower area, by the time you've gone through your plasterboard or backer board, through the tile and put the clamping nut on, there's no thread left to connect a pipe to ! May suit some applications, just not mine unfortunately.
Good quality metal construction used to go into a female fitting in wall for a concealed shower hose. The male fitting side on this is quite long though and will probably need cutting to length in the majority of installations, other than that, all good.

Saw some other are plastic sprayed silver, this was solid. Bit too long for my application but the brass was easily cut down to size with a hacksaw. Done the trick and good price.

Nice tidy product that makes a good finsh ti a bathroom. Used a couple of theres in different applications and after 11years of observation, still NO signs of wear, tear or promlems.
