You get what you pay for. This is a good bit of kit. Connectors fit snugly and there is plenty of space inside. Will use again
An excellent design because: 1. The wire connections are easy to make and unmake without a screwdriver; and 2, the wiring diagrams facilitate wiring for Y and S type CH and HW systems. So much better than a block of connectors in a junction box. Also this wiring box makes it easy for diagnosis of faults and repairs by any other person with basic ability in electrics.
Neat little junction box with ample terminals for what I need. Mine was used in a space where it didn't matter what it looked like but would look nice if on a visable surface.
This is a perfect solution for wiring the boiler boiler, valves and programmer
OK expensive option, but much easier to use than a soup of choccy blocks inside a bland, not made for purpose box - the WAGO box is aimed at wiring for a simple dual zone heating system with hot water (S or Y plan) and the supposed mix of connector types worked well for my install - my incoming power/boiler control cable was a bit fat, however I still managed to just get this in under the strain relief clamps along with the water, heating and zone valves cables. I also found it easy to check my wiring and connections before power up.
quick and simple but insufficient cable clamps. Had to chop them off to accommodate all the cables.
Brilliant for s plan boiler wiring just needs more flex grips. I mounted it on the block work in the boiler room I was working in and then realised that unless you only have 4 cables to connect you’ve got a problem ! I had to chase block out to use the rear entry’s as I had 2x 2 port valves feed from the spur, tank stat, boiler and cable from the hive wireless receiver ! Other than that slight hiccup great to use and has a label that allows you to mark up custom terminal numbers to connection designation.
Disappointing from Wago. The box caters for minimal connections for gas boiler S plan provided one is happy jamming multiple cables into one connector. In practice, providing in my case, enough CPC connections required doubling up two of the 5-ways (rendering 8 useful ways), meaning I needed to add a floating additional 5-way Wago for some neutrals.
It really needs a bit of excess capacity here.
The fixing screws for the cable clamps are crazily too short. Just totally dumb engineering. I know that plumbers don't bother with cable clamps, but Electricians do (BS7671). - Once a couple of valve cables enter the box (probably 10mm thick cables), the teeny weeny screws don't stand a chance of even getting close to the threads. We are left fishing about for appropriate sized woodscrews or some other junk, just to clamp the cables.
A good little Junction Box, small and compact, equipped with the Wago terminals which are excellent, they do make life a bit easier when doing a job like this, I had 10 x 1.5mm twin and earths to terminate, and my only criticism was that the screws in the cable clamps were short. All in all a great little box. I would recommend
Quick and easy to use. Saves a lot of time and effort
Excellent product would purchase again , 5 star product
I started my search for a wiring centre / junction box which was designed for Wago 221s and found the L60 but it's huge & doesn't come with any Wagos so it wasn't ideal for the small project I wanted to work on.
But I found the mBox L32 and was immediately onto a winner – less than **price redacted to appease the Toolstation gods** for a tidy box pre-kitted with Wagos – very nice 😎
I wanted to swap a slap-dash job I'd done of fitting a Nest Heat Link to something much neater with an easy upgrade path in the future. This handled the incoming Flex, passed the 240v supply over to the boiler, took the call for heat out of the boiler's 5-core flex and passed that over to the Heat Link all while having plenty of room, being 100x nicer than the old set up and less fiddly than the old chocolate blocks which were still being used.
I'm not sure how well it would handle an S or Y plan system (the included wiring diagrams do suggest it's doable, though), it handled this simple system just perfectly and the install was done inside of a couple of hours.
Good quality items, efficient collection, polite staff.
Always right price. Usually in stock
Item as described not used yet
Well designed & easy to use. Used it ceiling mounted when altering position of lighting in garage, looks quite smart with rounded edges though I did not realise until I stood back that the lid is not level but it’s OK
