It was very good equipment and easy to fit to the toilet bit you need to connect to it

Like for like replacement, easily installed and seems to be working fine.
I’ve used these a few times now and they’re great to have as van stock. Gives you the option of either side entry or bottom entry depending on which is required.

Inlet valves all look the same right?
Buy this one. It has options for different fittings included, so you wont chose the wrong one.
Its quiet. The water enters the cistern low down, so you dont hear splashing water - its below the water line. Even better, it doesn't use one of those crappy inlet plastic sheaths which soon become noisy. Finally, quality brass fittings, so no crossed threads.
If you are unsure, this is the best one.

Ok , I have been a professional plumbing and heating engineer, for over 40 years, I am gas safe registered, have public liability insurance ect, bank holiday Monday, I go and visit my dad, as per usual, as I am sure all trades suffer the same, oh why you are here ! Lol his toilet was filling very slowly, a quick trip to tool station and they had the replacement, not a big deal I hear you say, but wait, this was a bibv with a 3/8th stem not your normal half inch in stock !

Came with all the necessary fixings and the brass fitting certainly felt worth the extra over the plastic ones. For some reason, it stuck for the first couple of goes, but after that, it then worked fine.

Simple instructions and very easy to install, with no leaks first try. Fills rapidly.
Being mobile and frequently having to pick up inlet valves with very little chance to check the existing one, (and being caught out a few times) this is rapidly becoming my goto valve, as it covers most situations, the brass thread being better (IMO) than plastic, and the 4 options are just what I need.
To the point I now carry one as a spare (never worth it before as could end up with a side or bottom, 3/8 or 1/2 so 3 in 4 chance of not being right.
I never use plastic threads.
It worked very well didn't leak.
