Ordered on line and was ready same day, i was happy with the service on collecting the lock, and it replaced the old lock like for like and fitted perfectly well, i have no issues with the lock working. This is a sturdy lock and should last quite a few years.

I bought this little beauty to replace my old lock, which had become a bit of a diva. Unlocking the door used to involve a gentle wiggle, a whispered prayer, and the kind of key choreography that made me feel like I was trying to crack a safe in a spy movie. Sometimes it would work, sometimes I’d just go round to the back and crawl through the shed window.
Then came this lock.
Installation? Straightforward enough, assuming you enjoy chiselling things with surgical precision and muttering "just a bit more off" every 30 seconds. But once in—oh my. Smooth as butter on a hot crumpet.
Insert key. Turn. Door opens. Just like that. No drama. No foreplay. Just honest, reliable locking and unlocking action. Frankly, it's unsettling how normal my front door now feels.
I now find myself locking and unlocking the door just for fun. Visitors are confused. My postman is suspicious. But I don’t care. It works. Every time. No wiggle required.
Is it sexy? No. Is it thrilling? Not unless you’re really into metal rectangles. But it’s solid, secure, and possibly the most emotionally stable relationship I’ve had with a household fixture in years.
Five stars. One for each lever. A true unsung hero in the world of door security.
Changed sash position - If you have a door that has the same size ERA Lock this will fit but they have moved the sash which means it will not fit the door rebate , requiring you to remove the fitted rebate and install the new rebate in the box.
Website does not have measurements for all dimensions so picked up 2x locks that either need to go back or I need to chop more out. Somewhat disappointing :-(

Bought this lock to replace one of the same brand that I had for over 20 years. I was greatly disappointed when I found out that the key would open the lock ONLY from one side. I locked it OK from outside but when I tried to unlock it, the key would NOT turn to unlock it. I was lucky that someone was inside so that they could unlock the door from the inside. I would NOT recommend this particular type of lock - ERA Fire Rated Brass Effect BS 5-Lever Mortice Sashlock 64mm Case - 44mm. If you buy one make SURE you test it very thoroughly on both sides with all supplied keys, otherwise you may be left out in the cold. A.
