Perfect replacement for worn out handles, good solid handles
I bought 5 pairs of these door handles to replace some that were looking a bit tired. I started on the bathroom door as they were almost identical it was a straight forward swap until I shut the door and couldn’t open it again, luckily I still had the screwdriver on me . I found that there wasn’t quite enough leverage to retract the barrel latch. So to save taking them back and having to choose a different style for the whole house I took the z/p stop plates off the old ones and thirty circlips on and off they were fine but took five times longer than it needed to. ( I even tried new barrel latches).

These handles were a perfect substitute for internal handles on my house which is 39 years old, so i guess they done a good job and, hoping this new pair will serve just as long however, i wont be around to witness that as i am 83 years old now. I'll put a memo in my diary for whoever should live here in the future will know what to expect. MWG Horne.

Fitted perfectly and so cheap it wasn’t worth changing the broken spring in the old one.

Great replacement for tatty old brass handles. Really robust and good-looking
Of the 8 handles delivered, 4 had defects to the base casting, which had been repaired, but the flux residue was left on, and then laquered over! Obviously no quality checks at the factory, supplier or Toolstation. I would normally return these items, but it was obvious that that there was a good chance that the replacements would have defects as well, so I just buffed out the flux residue back to brass, and re-laquered. I wouldn't buy these type of items online again. Best to physically go there and check the parts out at the store.
Product great for the job, chrome finish. Only issue is limited throw not quite releasing the latch.
well packaged in their own little foamed plastic bags avoids scratching also a nice cardboard box, that should be recycled, or used to store them til required,made from heavy quite thick brass, not likely to bend in use.
This is a sturdy item that fits exactly into my old one. Its quite heady and feels well made.
