Replaced the 60Watt fluorescent in the garage with this. Its the same brightness and uses a fraction of the power. I modified the fitting. I cut the wires to the tube holder on one side, then disconnected the choke, capacitor, and starter. I connected the other tube holder direct to L&N as shown in the instructions. You can leave all that in and put the dummy starter in, but it uses additional power and the light isn't as bright.
Wire it direct to the mains, power only the side labelled.
The LEDs are Samsung, so this was a bargain. It was the final fluorescent to go! I'm hoping it will last as stated as most LED bulbs don't.
Comes complete with a led starter and very easy to retrofit.

Easy to fit LED replacement for older fluorescent tube technology. The unit comes with a replacement starter assembly, as the LED tubes do not require the same pre-heating/ignition as the fluorescent tubes used to.
Provides a higher light output than the fluorescent tube it replaced and gives an excellent spread of light that is not directional as some LED tubes can be.
Fitting failed and to save replacing whole item this lamp/tube is brilliant simply disconect the unwanted internals and wire the supply to the correct end observing polarity, and other end has no wires only a support .light is good, power used is less all for less than £ 10
This works flawlessly on the batten mounting that previously housed a fluorescent tube. The V-Tac tube was provided with the replacement choke required to retrofit an LED tube.There is the added bonus that the tube doesn't flicker before starting up, unlike fluorescent ones.
Easy as!! Took old glass tube out. Put blank starter in. Put new plastic tube in. Power on. Jobs a good one!!
Was unsure what to replace old glass tube with. Too many letters and numbers I had no idea.

I bought four LED tubes but two of my lamps had ballasts in them therefore no starter therefore I couldn’t use the new LED tubes in them. Because of this I needed two new baton lamps. Toolstation let me credit two of the new lamps and I purchased two new batton lamps of which I am very pleased, more light, less power and start up instantly.
I would highly recommend the LED lamps and Toolstation

Didn’t realise there was starter in it and the bloke on counter said he’d sold out of starters and they would have some in on Tuesday, so I thought it was a waste of time fitting it with no starter until I purchased one and found out I already had one.
Good brightness. Easy to fit. Instant on. Very bright.
Simple to fit to an old fluorescent fitting, just needed to replace the starter with the one that came with the tube.
