excellent my electrician recommended and I am very pleased
Fitted in to walk in larder cupboard to switch led strip works very well.Very pleased with result.
Decent PIR at good price. Easy to install - pretty sensitive!
I recently used this item to control a number of LED luminaires and was generally impressed with its specification and performance.
Access to the terminals and adjustment for Time and Lux is made by turning the cover anti-clockwise to remove. If a cable gland entry is desired then the ideal gland is a PG9 or possibly an M16, although the latter is a very tight fit in the hole.
Not a great deal of space to the four connections (Line & neutral IN and Switched Line & neutral OUT) but as the two Neutral connections are commoned and the neutral is not switched by the unit, a saving of one conductor may be made, improving slightly the issue of space!
I used a short length of 0.75mm 3184Y (4-core flexible cord) to make the connection, with the green/yellow conductor unterminated since the detector is Class II rated.
In similar situations in the past, I have seen 3-core flexible cords using the green/yellow as a 'live' conductor but this is not to be recommended! Worse still is the situation where the bare copper conductor of a multicore cable (such as 'twin & earth') was being used as a 'live' conductor!
The legend printed on the face of the detector depicting the Time and Lux settings can be difficult to read owing to the print being rather small and feint, especially when one's 'mince pies' are not what they used to be!
Once set up, the PIR sensor/detector works a treat! I would be inclined to use these detectors in a domestic environment if they are also available in white!
Good slim pir light does what it says simple to fit as surface mounts
