Over the last 3 years ive brought 8 latches as ive changed all my doors. They look great but had to change 6 already as they wear out in months. Contacted manufacturer who are not interested DO NOT BUY

Very poor striker plate. Sloppy fit in the 32mm hole specified, screws far too small, heads deformed immediately. abandoned it and used the tradition rectangular version. Not what I wanted.
Disappointed, Started buying these locks a couple of years ago from Toolstation, 87743 Easy Latch Tubular Latch - 3" Satin. had nothing but trouble with them, forever jamming, clicking and breaking, to one point where the lady couldn’t get out of her room because the latch had broken. Purchased 4 more of the NEW Union latch thinking this would be better being a reputable make. On arrival the items looked to be the same as the Easy Latch, having the characteristic slot as opposed to the true hole of the Union latch as advertised in the photo/picture. In my opinion they looked to have been re-labled with the Union Branding???? returned them to Toolstation very disappointed. My tel-cons with customer service and invoices will show the times I have reported these faults. Not sure what to use going forward. Unreliable product.
