Very cheaply made not strong enough for my sander end of the pipe also fell off in use
Over £300 for a vac and it doesn't even come with a stainless tube for the floor attachment?
The hose is integrated into the front of the machine with a complex 1/4turn bulkhead type fitting so you cant simply roll it in to position and fit it to existing hoses/machines with an adapter. No option to rotate the lid so the hose MUST come out the front which is untidy but if you want to see the filter warning light, you have to have it facing forward. Forget what the competition are charging, this is good lump of money, for a big piece of plastic, I expect better.
As with all Trend products it's not perfect but for a for a M class tool it's reasonable priced , not to noisy and only time will tell if it lasts.
Unfortunately, I was really disappointed with this item. Initially it seemed ok, but the following have become an issue: A) Sometime the red light comes on to tell you the bag is full and there is barely anything in it. Other times the bag is full. B) the self-cleaning filter has stopped working, and C) The hose has separated from the adaptor and so is now useless. I'll be bringing it back as soon as possible.
I’ve had this Trend T35 for a couple of years now and it’s sucked up everything from fine plaster dust to chunky wood shavings without missing a beat. The auto start feature is great when hooked-up to a mitre saw or a sander (although I wish the cord in the sander was as long as the hose on the extractor!). Downside? The bags are really expensive! (I know they are superfine extraction, but still!)
Just received my Trend dust Extractor, in my opinion worth the money.
It comes with useful attachments and I am sure will contribute to a less dust when working with various power tools. As I have only just received the product its not fair for me to judge reliability.
Does a great job with the orbital sander sucking the dust away you almost don’t need a dust mask. I opted for the Trent extractor as I’ve bought the really cheap vacuums before which loose suction quickly. This doesn’t loose suction as the filter shaker does a great job keeping it working well.
This is a great little unit. It has a power take off wattage much higher than other brands. The hose is nice and long so I can leave it in the middle of the room and reach practically everywhere I need to. It would be good if there was some storage for the hose when not in use to make it easier for transporting.
