Simple to use, really helps keep the door steady when you’re working on it alone. Used it to prep new doors using a router for hinge recesses as well as an old heavy front door needing its bottom shaved for a new threshold.
Works with doors on their side and stood up when hanging them.
This is a great bit of kit. I am installing a new front door and this is a must have item. It holds the door in a solid secure position for planing and fitting hinges.
Am so pleased I got this, even if a bit of an outlay for something I may never use again. Probably will sell off at half price in new year.
I was going to notch a piece of 4x2 and make a wedge but for the amount of work I will do on doors over the next few months I thought a dedicated jig would come in handy. Typically good quality like all Trend products. Could be even better with a soft non-marking pad on the clamp head. I overtightened the clamp on my first door and left a mark.
I saw my neighbour using a door holder stand, this makes everything so much easier when working on any doors etc when "drilling & planing". Brilliant I would recommend to any DIY'er, will worth the money.
Good but could be better. The glue on the rubber feet isn’t strong enough unless you have the top of the stand up agains something to stop it moving. I had to work in the house and had nothing to push it up against so all the rubbers came off

Wish I bought this sooner, so easy to use and keeps the doors sturdy. I recommend using a bit of cardboard between the door and clamp as it could mark the door is it’s a soft timber.

Great stand to securely hold an interior door edge-on securely and well balanced. Allows planing and hing cutting etc with ease. The product is very sturdy and well made with cushion pads for non-mark stability.
