Very easy to set up and install. Once you download the app, there are step by step instructions. You do need an micro SD card to record video footage or you can subscribe to online storage. Video quality is very good. It will take a little time to fine tune the camera your liking. The camera has motion detection and person detection. My camera is mounted in a location with too much motions and had to switch that off and only have person detection on. I am amaze at the capability for the money.
The app can have upto 36 cameras. It is be easy to add more cameras for your home.
When setting up make sure to insert your sd card (if using one) before doing anything otherwise you'll have to do the setting up again. Setting up on the app was a bit nerve racking but I got there in the end. I can't seem to make it display colour at night time - although the light comes on it doesn't seem to make much difference. However, the black and white display is nice and detailed. One problem we've had is that it sometimes doesn't switch from night time display to daytime - it stays as black and white. We have to switch it to daytime manually and then back to auto. One very useful setting is for it to detect people rather than movement - this cuts down on false alarms massively. You can also adjust the speaker volume. It's very easy to have a quick look at the display to check what's happening.
Worked fine for 2 weeks then the sound had a constant crackling noise, got a replacement went to put sim card in and the card and it just dropped through into the internals of the camera, staff at toolstation where brilliant took it apart to retrieve the sd card, so waiting for another replacement, fingers crossed 🤞
These are amazingly good little cameras; really easy to install and set up, and work really well. The picture quality is great (and higher resolution ones are also available) and the night vision is amazing. It's worth noting that the night vision is only colour when the camera's lights are on; without them its black and white - but you can see things really clearly even when it looks pitch black outside. I bought a 128GB micro SD card meaning I don't need to subscribe to the cloud platform and the app allows you to revise recordings really easily. The motion detection is really configurable too; you can set multiple detection areas so you don't get too many false alerts. All in all, really pleased!
Where you can fix depends on the strength of your Wi-Fi .Test before fixing
Excellent quality and easy to install. Only issue I had was that the power cable could have been longer.
Bought this to keep an eye on my sheep, connected to wifi easily , works a treat, the pre set view feature is really useful, can scan the whole shed in less than 30 seconds, so pleased with it that I bought a second one!

Part of my purchase has not so far been used which is the security cameras which were bouught on a recommndation from a friend. However a tube of cement has proved to be superb and has been used in the joints of my patio.
This has to be one of the best value security cameras on the market and incredibly easy to install and operate. You will not be disappointed
I installed two TP Link 500 cameras. The installation was easy as all parts that I would need were supplied. After the installation I paired the cameras with the TP app on my phone, this was easy and straight forward. The cameras work well and the images are clear, even at night there are two options available to have IR or full colour.

They are a good camera for the price do what you need them to do we put them on extensions so sound quality has dropped but still audible you do have to alter sensors otherwise you will get unwanted notifications but the night to colour is very good visual quality is excellent we will have more Tapo
Good sturdy camera. Easy to install and automatically self sets, updates and initialised. Alarm, pan, tilt and 360° patrol function are all very useful, as is the light feature to give you full colour at night.
Had to get some form of security for my garage as there is a group of three breaking into them spoke to someone who had already fitted one and they were happy so l invested and so far it's brill.
good quality but does have annoying thing , it tracks neighbors cats ,trying to educate it , hasn't happened yet!!!
