It's quite bulky and may prevent other plugs being plugged-in next to it on an power extender strip, but that's the only negative. It works well as an extender when connected to a non tp-link router.
Works great! no lag. Connected to my main router in mesh mode seamlessly.
My previous WiFi extender broke , bought this not cheapest and not dearest, easy to set up and works fine Now have WiFi where i didn’t
I bought this so that we could get WiFi in our new garden room. The electrician had run an ethernet cable along with the power and we needed to create a WiFi signal from the new ethernet socket. By setting this device up in ‘Access Point’ mode, we now have a strong WiFi signal, not only inside the garden room, but throughout the garden. I was able to password protect the signal so it’s not an unsecured network. There’s an app to download that helps with the setup, but it isn’t completely straightforward. However this was the perfect solution to our problem and a really cheap option.
Needed this to reach an external Wi-Fi security camera that is around 25-30m away. It just about does it through a rear window (didn't do it with a brick wall in the way). Bit of a faff to set up but seems to be working reliably now.
The onemesh or easymesh doesn't work with Sky broadband router. Googled but couldn't figure out why. So, had to return it. If you are fine with two SSID, it seems alright. Another issue is the extender can't connect 5 GHz band of sky router.
Quite straight forward to set up .
I was a little confused with the mesh system .This only seems to work if you have the TP link hub It must link with you supplier hub and send a TP coded wifi .
I only wanted to boost the signal up stairs but it looks like I have to log on to the EXT signal upstairs for this to work .Not ideal but workable
not as straight forward to set up as id hoped. the app would not locate the extender, took several attempts. the new extended network name replaced the existing network name. my vodaphone router locked me out during setup, so i could not complete the set up. hopefully will be okay when i try again... i think the instructions are clear, but not hugely helpful
Very good, I have three of these around the house and they have improved the WiFi signal greatly
Pleased with this, fairly simple to set up either as a range extender or as an Access Point.
Does exactly what it say on the box brilliant piece of kit
Works pretty well and very easy to set up. It holds the information well so you can unplug it from one location and move it to another without inputting information again.
Fantastic! Now have WiFi everywhere, indoors & out
Was paying internet provider £5 a month for their boost and it was ok, looking to cut my bill so binned it off.
Decided on the TP box at just over £30 and the difference is remarkable.
Daughter set it up but I could have worked my way through it but a little longer.
Only thing I found odd was it doesn't switch automatically from the main router to the booster but after a while it's probably only our mobiles that move around the house.
I now have satisfied kids who never mention the internet is playing up, so silence must be a big thumbs up for this product.
I don't have super fast broadband just 23mbs at the router but just as importantly I get 20mbs through the booster up stairs.
Need a good 7 months to break even then quids in saving £5 a month.
Great device. Set up was straight forward and clearly explained. Though a relatively short distance from the router we now have fall of at all and supports 2 TVs, 2 laptops,1 tablet, speakers and phones with no issues. Kind wished id paid more attention to friends recommendations b4 now
Great extender easy to configure
