Was looking for a small 1Gb switch when I noticed this one had a reduced price. Given the extra ports over the smaller one, and the better price, it was a no-brainer !

Excellent price; ideal for home network use; has enabled me to network multiple audio/visual devices without needing multiple powerline adaptors.

Perfect replacement for my older 5 port tp link version Started to play up on
network speeds. This Works perfectly out the box. 3 extra ports. Nice small size. Acitve Led lights for every connection. No complaints. Works great. Every port is Limted to 100gbs. Per port. Plenty for me. Thanks Toolstation.
Are..urgent purchase due to B.T changing WAN port cable type (AGAIN) back to Cat5 RJ45 from RG11

For a basic, no-nonsense unmanaged switch it is hard to beat this diminutive 8-port unit! It will surprise you with its size - barely any bigger than an RJ45 connector in terms of height and not much wider than 8 of them lined up in a row… there’s a single LED per port and it’s literally a case of plug it in, power it up via the external power supply and away you go! It’s been flawless in use so far; if I wanted to extend my Ethernet cabling any further, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another one of these.
A compact 8 port Gigabit switch by TP-Link with 3yr Wnty. OK the case is actually plastic not metal, but you can add a tenner on for that privilege. Apart from that I suspect it's likely the same spec / internals as most modern switches (auto MDX etc) The switch has been in a week with no problems. Nice & quick - ideal for my connecting up my home office network [PC, Printers, WAP, NAS] I reckon for the money you can't beat it!
