No I have not used the heating element yet, but I have tested it. All ok and I am really pleased with it. I think it is the size I wanted.
This towel rail heating element is intended to be fitted to a towel rail/radiator. It comes complete with the T-piece to allow the heating fluid to be fed to the towel rail via a radiator valve while the heating element is fitted vertically. Please note that, whereas the T-piece comes with ‘O’ rings, it might be necessary to use additional PTFE tape to ensure that the horizontal part of the T-piece aligns with the radiator valve. Note that the 150W version is compatible with a 6A. lighting circuit, especially if the lights are replaced by lower consumption LED lights. It does not necessarily need a fused spur from the ring circuit as higher wattage heating elements would require.

Comes complete with T-piece for dual-fuel installation but I had trouble getting the rotational position correct for where I needed for the radiator valve. Includes blanking plug, if needed.

Heats towel rail just enough to dry towels and keep the toilet area cosy in winter. Didn’t need tee piece as fitted to a stand alone towel rail.

Replacement for a defunct one. This one had full fitting and advice leaflet, although it was quite awhile ago I'm sure the one it replaced had no instructions.
I've installed two in towel rails, one has worked faultesley for a couple of weeks, second has failed so have had to replace. All working again now though.
