18” thermostat works well in my mothers immersion heater, works how it supposed to, used to replace faulty old one
Direct replacement for identical thermostat that had failed
Was identical to the old one. Replacement was as easy as removal. Set to 70.
Available as indicated on website and appears to have rectified temperature of immersion heated water
Thermostat easy to instal and working fine. I was a little worried to be handed the item with no packaging whatsoever, not even a bag or label. I was assured, if we needed to take it back 9prior to installation), it would be accepted
Easy to install thermostat, good quality reasonably priced
This unit was very slightly larger than the original one. Whilst the change seemed to be insignificant did not initially fit into the Immersion Heater.
The old unit slid straight out as I expected as this was not the first one I have replaced. With this one I had to bend one of the terminal s to get it into the pocket. No big deal but disappointing that a simple straight forward swap risked causing damage to a an otherwise perfectly good heater.
At the end of it, I have a working immersion heater but I do have some frustration that a careless design change complicated an otherwise very simple fix.
Great quality Immersion Thermostat 18in long. Dead easy to fit and wire up, only
two leads (+ positive brown lead to thermostat) works really well.
Working without any problems after 3 weeks. Easy to fit in 10 minutes.
In stock and immediately available for collection.
Does exactly what it’s supposed to do at a competitive price
The pop out "safety" thermostat kept popping out , involving a trip to the loft with a pin, to manually reset it. Researching on the net - the EU have mandated water should be no hotter than 60c . Tesla seem to have taken this as :- all thermostats must trip at 60c.
This was occurring in the depths of winter <60c, in summer my solar can take the temperature well over 80c. These pop outs should not operate until >90c. Yes i uncovered the cap of the immersion heater.
I've now disabled the pop out and cranked the Max 60c to go max 70c. Thoroughly voiding the guarantee.
Finally getting proper hot water like what we used to get before over regulation.
Easy to buy and easy to fit at a competitive price
Failed to work from the outset.
Thermostat tested and found to be 'open circuit at room temperature.
Returned and exchanged.
The replacement is working - so fingers crossed that this one stays that way.
So, perhaps take a resistance meter with you to check the thermostat when buying one ?
it did not work properly the over heat thermostat to weak
Selected this because it apparently was a direct replacement, but it doesn’t fit! The housing is slight larger and so fouls against the live element connector..
Was a direct replacement for failed thermostat. No issues fitting it. Powered up the immersion heater, check for power etc. All good and we now have hot water. How long this unit last...time will tell
I am sure it works but the terminal block is larger than the existing one i had so it didnt fit !
The first one stopped working, had to get a replacement
Replacement thermostat for Hot Water tank. Working fine and completes the job in hand.
