Very good quality. Built for the job. Hope it works as well. Fingers crossed.
Bought 1st trap and caught a rat 1st night. Found there was more than one rat so bought another trap. Caught another 3 in next 2 days. As traps go they work fine. My rats loved plain flour (I used it to monitor their existence but they ate it). If they love the bait, they'll be happy to be fed for a brief moment.
Does what it says on the box. Unfortunately the rara seem to clever to step on it yet.
It's not heavy enough to stay stable to catch any rats, it went off a few times with no rat caught, looks good and set up but hasn't worked for me .
Price is cheap so it is worth a try
These traps are hair trigger and have very powerful springs. Be careful to bait the trap before setting it and don't let you fingers go into the traps flight path. It really hurts even if the spring just touches your finger as it goes off. I imagine it could break your finger or thumb.
Unfortunately it broke even before used, although it has a good base and incredibly strong spring the plastic trigger flap is very feeble and broke even before I could use it in anger.
Put it down with a piece of cheese and within 4 hours BANG! Big old rat. And they are always in twos so the next day more cheese and BANG AGAIN! Lots of power. Easy to set up. Great value.
Dont but Big Cheese rat trap. Bought 3, one unsettable, two go off on their own. Prebaited? Rats havent read that bit.
Bought 4 traps, but only one has proved usable, and it caught nothing! They are easy enough to set, but do not catch properly and go off completely randomly and frequently moments after setting, way before you get them anywhere near the floor. They proved incredibly effective in trapping my fingers (less so the rat) and I can honestly say that after 10 mins trying to set these things, I was more afraid of them than the rat that had taken up residence in my kitchen. Subsequently bought the plastic heavy duty ones that I should have bought in the first place...you get what you pay for!!
You get what you pay for . The bait tray broke first time I set it at the pivot point . Pay more and get something made with a bit more care . Can't be bothered to take back for a couple of quid.
Seems sturdy and powerful but rat seems to have gone away . Will leave in place though
Although it was successful in catching a rat, the trap itself shook itself apart, when first the trap spring came off the end of the shaft and secondly the wire U pins holding it down to the baseboard worked loose. So it’s now scrap and in the dustbin
Tried and failed with peanut butter. Instant success after screwing on licorice.
Worked well very sensitive be careful, did the job cleared the problem up in 4 days trapping 4 mice
The classic design of rat trap manufactured here as cheap as possible using the wrong materials with no thought of the finished product. If your in need of pest control do yourself a favour, don't waste your time and money, even though only a few quid, on this rubbish, get something of a reasonable build quality that can deal with your problem quick because all this "Cheesy" thing will do is self distruct the first time it's triggered, if it doesn't fall apart as soon as the spring is tensioned! Absolute garbage!!!
Just the job got 1 of the buggers each night set, none for a couple days now so hopefully rid of them🤞🏻
We bought 6 and spread them around the loft. They claim to be prebaited, so I assume the yellow plastic must smell of something to a rodent but absolutely useful, they didn't trap anything. The PestStop pasta bags on the other hand were very popular, all of those disappeared. Would definitely not recommend
I caught big female rat in this trap just make sure trap I screwed down as it abit light
Does what it says on the tin. Added a bit of chocolate spread to the bait even though it says you don’t have to. Also catches mice.
Didnt catch anything using this product, but rats are clever wee rodents so it may not be the trap. One thing i did notice however was that the latch that keeps the bar from snapping over was very tricky to set. I understand that it needs to be sensitive, but I found I had to bend the end of the bar with a pair of pliars to get it to stay in the latch at all.
