We fitted a smart thermostat to every radiator in our house, 14 in total and it’s been a game changer, we can accurately keep individual rooms at specified temperatures at different times of the day, also it has enabled us to control the humidity in the house, it was just over 60% and know under 50, highly recommend fitting them to every radiator
Our Tado system has been in place for 6 months now. It has saved us very little. The system is buggy, with slow response. At times I have had rooms trigger to warm up an hour later than specified in the settings. Rooms go offline randomly. Batteries last only a few months so I have had to invest in rechargeables. The whole system brings few advantages and takes too much mental energy to keep it running. The simplest new feature like support for our Worcester boiler modulation have not been added by Tado. They have stopped adding features and just want to milk the product. No option to turn heating off for 1 hour, 2 hours etc when going out. You have to turn off and remember to turn on again or pay a hefty subscription fee for geo fencing which is an inferior solution when going out.

I love this idea. We bought a set of them, and the tech set up and pairing was very simple. However, two crucial things to bear in mind....
Firstly, if your radiators are of a certain age, you will need to buy an adaptor for your radiator valves. We had to source ours online and they cost an additional £12 each. The box comes with a few adaptors for different types of modern radiator, but you would need to check on the Tado website (they have a PDF) whether yours are supported.
Secondly, and most importantly, there's an inherent design flaw and its almost a deal-breaker. Obviously these devices monitor the air temperature, but they are also inches away from the radiator meaning that the reading is *never* accurate.
There is an offset feature which is a clumsy way to address this. For example, you can tell it to assume that that the "real" temperature is 2 degrees lower than the actual reading of the valve, so it knows when the room has got up to temperature. This works when the radiators are on. However, then the radiators go off, and the offset temperature is therefore 2 degrees too low, so the system will click on thinking the room is colder than it actually is. In short, they can either turn off when the room is genuinely warm enough, or turn on when it's genuinely cold enough... but they can't do both. It's incredible that Tado didn't think of this.
The only feasible solutions are to ignore the readings and make an approximate offset that feels right most of the time or you pay £70 for a separate Tado temperature sensor in each room that can give you an accurate reading. And no, you can't get a cheaper third party one, Tado only.
They are still generally useful in that you can control the temperature on individual radiators from your phone or Alexa, but scheduling anything based on the temperature readings is just a non-starter, and that's hugely disappointing.

These units are easy to fit, no plumbing necessary. Easy to connect to the Tado app, control the temperature of each room individually, cut heating costs by not heating, or to a less temperature, of rooms you don't use. Easy manageable through the app. Couldn't rate any higher.

Great product, easy to install and would recomment
These radiator valves had transformed my energy management at home. The app enables you to set timers for every room radiator so I only heat where I want, when I want. And no need for re-plumbing my system in to zones, it works with just these smart TRVs.
The valves are easy to install and good quality, they are also simple to setup. Two main downsides: the top is hard to clip onto the bottom section once installed as it has to be rotated, but the bottom section rotates with very little to hold it in place. The second, more fundamental issue is that the valves read an exaggerated temperature due to their proximity to the radiator. The external thermostat can be linked, but is too expensive to install one in every room. Although the app allows for a temperature adjustment, this is only accurate when heating, when the system is off the offset is no longer required, which necessitates an adjustment to the temperatures in the schedule. Could do with an affordable external thermometer solution.

Probably the best smart TRVs. They work really well and save energy.
