Not for heavy doors because spring isn't too strong but works on lighter doors
I purchased this. The door probably 30 kg and the push weight on its fire rated bearing hinge was less than 2kg. It couldn't push the skin of a rice pudding ! I increased the tension incrementally until the spring deformed and it still wouldn't shut the door. I should probably return it as not fit for purpose but I'm not even sure if I have the box
Used this on a garden gate, worked perfectly, was a little skeptical given the size but it had enough force without even being cranked up to do the job.
Store opening times very helpful for collection. Busy folk will appreciate the hours and good reception / counter staff on hand.
I bought this for my garden gate to close it so my dog wouldn’t get out and it works great when the gate is not closed properly it closes it too and give me peice of mind
Overall a good budget priced closer, only downside the screws provided are not up to the task 2 out of the 4 supplied had the heads shear off when tightening.
Hasn't lasted a few months, Spring is weak doesn't do the job
Purchased two of these for a heavy metal door. Its a heavy door but using them both does the job, closes the door at a steady rate keeping the heat in, job done!
Bought to replace an older over door closer.

Bought two of these. One broke so I returned if for a new one. The screws are terrible, I snapped two and had to use some that I had spare.
I was fed up of people leaving the door open. This solved my problem. Read the instructions and it’s easy to fit and set up. The screws provided are rubbish (rounded off very easily), so don’t bother with them. Find some others of the same size and use them instead.
Just fitted two of these at our village hall - went on easily, adjusted easily too, do the job 100% - everyone here is pleased with the product and how well it works.

Dead easy to fit & does the job but 2 days in it became very squeaky. A bit of oil sorted this.
Great little door closers I've used them many times in the past and they have always stood up to their requirements.
Very robust with plenty of easy to adjust tension settings. Used to auto close a 4' galvanised farm gate.
Fitted to a side door in to garden, purchased as the door didn't latch and my dogs got out.
Works OK but it struggles on windy days.
I have tried increasing the tension but so far the wind wins.
