nicely made good coating of zinc on and easy to install so far working well with no problems
Replaced an existing broken latch. Nice price and does the job well
Fits back gate and works fine price good quality good
Good price, does the job required. Beats all local competition.
Switched a handle version for this, much easier to use when carrying things
Changed this to a more period one but a decent Suffolk latch
Good for the price but main lever/bar bends very easily
Bought to replace a gate latch that had corroded through at the latch-lifter pivot pin, so lifter arm snapped. This latch-lifter has an expanded 'penny' of metal around the pivot, so tackles that weak point. Also electro-plated zinc, so may not corrode too quickly (note, not hot galvanised). Had to lubricate the pivot as the arm was too stiff to drop the latch under gravity. Slightly lightweight steel gauge, bit worried the thumb-press will bend, but no problem so far, installed and working well.
Flimsy, 2 screws broke while trying to install it, so used my own. Latch bent as the wind rattled the gate. Might suit a sheltered place (like a shed) but not suitable for my garden gate.
Good price, light duty but does the job. Easy to install doesn’t come with any fixings so screws needed to install. Would be good if galvanized screws were included!
Seemingly sturdy product for the price and job required.
It would be useful if the makers made the latch adjustable in length
Good value, Comes with all the fixings and looks good
A well galvanised and well made heavy duty Suffolk latch the best I have used in a long time
Surprisingly good quality for the price. Great value.
Inexpensive and lightweight gate latch. Needed quickly to replace existing gate latch.
What would one expect for the money.
Works ok but bends a bit. Good quality for the price but could be better.
