It does what it says in that it displays the codes. There is a list of the codes on line to decipher it easily available. A lot of the fields were not populated in the screens with our Peugot but that was not this units fault.
This is a simple OBD reader but it works well on my MK5 Golf and Subarus. At this price it's a bargain and was great at identifying the problems and clearing the codes. Saved me taking the car into the garage. It's not compatible with your laptop so you won't be able to do anything complicated like re-mapping the car, but definitely OK for deleting error codes and tracing basic problems such as faulty O2 sensors
Works perfectly for reading and clearing codes. I used it on my Cadillac Escalade so glad it even recognised an imported vehicle.
Cleared the Tom's and airbag codes on a citroen c1. Have to see if they come back...but saved me £120. That's how much every garage wanted for the job!
I was a little bit nervous about buying a cheap OBD2 but needed an injector warning light turned off. Worked an absolute treat no setup involved save me a fortune in going to the garage. It's simple as if the light comes back on and go to the garage.
Absolutely useless ,did not pick up any fault codes .got mechanic out with his scanner ,straightaway found 3 codes ,cleared them and instantly solved the problem .

A VERY USEFUL PEICE OF KIT. THAT IS TO CHECK WHERE A PROBLEM LIGHT IS ON. IT DIAGNOSES WHAT IS THE PROBLEM TO FIX. THAT IS IF ONE IS NOT CERTIAN. GIVES A GREAT HEALTH CHECK AS WELL.

Wanted to check engine codes and reset. Intermittent fault gives same code every few weeks. Garages cannot find cause but were charging me to reset. Can now reset myself.
