I'm using it to shield a router bit to amplify sawdust extraction and it seems to be doing that very well. The metal internal backing is well bonded to the brush. It bends reasonably easily. The aluminium outer sheaf which would screw to the a door bottom is very thin but strong enough.

Used 5 of these to close out draft from ottom of double garage doors. They are a bit small so had to use 2 fullones and a part 1 for each door but easy to cut with hacksaw although brush then slides out unless you crimp the end
