Did the job I wanted it to do and stopped the draft.
One of the better draught excluders, l think the maximum gap width stated is a bit too wide, l wouldn't use this range for anything above 4mm, other than that, it adheres to a prepared clean surface very well, and being black you get very little discolouration.
Needed replacement draught proofing brush for my front door frame as part had become damaged on the bottom. Although not as high as my original it fits nicely and looks so much better now it’s been replaced. Great price at Toolstation and so easy to order and collect.
The product is excellent both in quality and value
Seems to do the job, although the backing adhesive could be stronger.
Great product good value well packaged fast delivery
And now my porch is warm. Easy to install. 10 metre pack comes in two 5 metre lengths which is just slightly more than the amount required to go around a regular door. Cut accurately to avoid joins.
Looks to be exactly as described - very simple, no frills, just the brush strip.
This works really well. Really helped seal some windows I have and stops the draughts coming in and would highly recommend!
Good quality brush, quite slim when you first open the packet. Clean area first to allow it to stick otherwise you may end up wasting some. Great to get more years out of any old upvc door
Easy to fit, helps with drafts but adhesive not that strong
First off I was pleased to be able to get this in black as it better suited the door colour than white. I'd just rehung the door so the gap tolerances were good. As the range on the pipe is 2-6mm I opted for the middle ground of 4mm and hence cut a 2x6mm rebate on the long and top edges of the door. The 6mm width allowed a bit for paint and the 2mm depth meant that the adhesive backing sat really neatly and securely. On the bottom The door was rebated for a weather bar so I just adhered it to the vertical surface and it closed against the weather bar - I was lucky the gap was right. The adhesive gripped the paint well in both scenarios. The brush comes in 2 rolls. On my door of 2'6" with 3no. 76mm hinges, a mortice lock and latch and 2no. rack and pinion mortice deadbolts, 1 roll of brush was exactly the right length for the door (so I can do the front door with the second roll using the same method later). The door closes with a satisfying noise now and draught is limited to areas of ironmongery but largely eliminated. This is work done recently so I don't have any commentary to make regarding longevity, but so far so good.
Had mixed results with foam and you often can't close the door or window but this stopped the draft and doesn't affect the closing much. The glue could be stronger.
Just what I needed, sticks well and excludes drsfts
Cured the draughts round an old door beautifully .
Sticks well to a clean surface, though allow 24 hours for full strength. Looks smart and works well on sliding surfaces where foam is not so good
Adhesive is strong easy to fit. Remember to clean surface first.
