Never been a fan of 'chemical' mortars preferring to use proper mix wherever possible.
However, working at height on a gable end & chimney was a good scenario for this product.
Ready mixed in the tube from an applicator gun, fast (ish) curing & mortar like texture meant less stuff to lug around or handle but still with good results.
The nozzle shape is best suited to filling raked mortar joints rather than point filling of holes, cracks etc.
The material is not overly 'sticky' on contact with brickwork & the rebound pressure on the material is maintained for a short while even after back the gun off which can lead to some wastage.
As long as you can catch this, not a problem to recycle it.
Overall, Storm Dry Mortar is convenient & easily handled with a pointing trowel or tool.
Planning to overcoat repaired areas with Storm Dry Masonry Protection Cream
Easy to use - starts out a light blue but as it dries turns grey - I was pleased because it seems to go a long way with little wastage
Fill cracks and gaps with confidence. Long lasting results. Very easy to use. No fuss.
Great product! However it took three attempts to deliver the order of four tubes of mortar. The secondary supplier system did not work effectively in this case. Toolstation staff both in store and on line were very helpful.
excellent product and so easy to use: just put the tube in some warm water before you start. good value when buying 3 in a pack.
