Great for metal polishing etc. Cut of a width loops it twice around pull back and forth gets a fab Finnish. Not lint free as it drops fibres once cut.
Useful for many applications including but not limited to polishing, cleaning, protecting tools and hanging salted meats to help air cure (dried ham)

I have used this before to polish my car so I knew what I was getting. Because it is tubular you can cut it down and use it as a course dust mask. Not perfect, but better than nothing.
