Stilson use on kitchen appliance support leg was great with length of tool arm just shat I needed at short notice
Bough this as the specification online says it opens to 70mm. Picked it up when in stock and it only opens to 50mm. I needed it to go to 55mm so useless and had to be returned straight away.
Job done for a tenner with saddle pipe extension (car repair)
This wasn’t a great tool and I returned to Toolstation and was promptly refunded, I ordered this to use at work, it isn’t something I’ll probably use daily but I thought the finish and quality were lacking and didn’t think it was a tool I’d be able to use for many years, ended up buying a Bahco alternative for £6.52 more (64% increase) which looks like it will last for the rest of my career. I’m sure this would be ok for DIY or very occasional use.
Did exactly what I expected at a very reasonable price
A little bit basic and loose jaw but it did the job I needed them to do. Overall good value for the money.
Very usable tool at a budget price good value for money
For the home owner who needs this occasionally it's a cost effective choice.
Really cheaply mate, gets jammed, doesn’t hold to the width you choose, seriously don’t waste you money
Low quality and not locking properly. Slips even when tightened.
Nope, I used to own an old Stillsons and kind of miss them occasionally so got these for a particular job. These are rubbish, way too much slack and coarse rough thread. Put any pressure on and the head and it just twists to the side. This is scrap metal nothing more, pay that bit more and get something better, I should have known better being Silverline branded
Wanted a second stillson to undo tight pump valve nuts, these worked fine but not brilliant quality. I don’t know why the pump makers don’t have a hexagon cast into the body, otherwise you are expected to “hold the pump body, nearly impossible.
Fair for the price. But a bit slack in terms of tolerances so wobbles about it bit
Value for money if like me your a DIYer and require good tools at a reasonable price. Well the stillsons were certainly that . Not disappointed at all , excellent for the price .
AS stallions go these do a great Jon easy to use and adjust. Good balance and weight.
DIY level tool, ok but not for everyday/pro use, reflected in price
Always wanted one butneed only arose recently. Works well
Great price, works as it should
I wanted to remove an old radiator for decorating. I bought this wrench to hold the radiator valve body whilst I undid the main nut holding the valve to the radiator. The purpose of the wrench was to prevent any twisting or movement of the inlet pipe, which could cause a leak! The job went perfectly.
