Difficult to find self-coloured butt hinges. I used these for a restoration project and burnished the steel. I would describe them as medium-weight rather than heavy-weight. I like to use 5x30mm screws for hinges and found I had to open out the countersinking to accomodate these screws. Yes, it would have been easier to use smaller screws.

Two basic steel hinges at a very good price - holding up a medium heavy door with little apparent strain. Very good value. You won't have to chip much out of the door and frame either as the steel is only a few mm thick, but it is strong.
