I did think these were a bit of a luxury cost for a pair of sissors, but no regrets in the purchase, thet are fab.
Very Poor quality, wouldn't cut thin fabric and thin material, had more success using household scissors. Ended up returning them. Very disappointing for a Stanley product.

£12 is a good price for these shears. I kept finding myself in need of scissors and the cheapo ones in the kitchen weren't cutting it. I got these and I'm impressed, came with a sharp edge and a slightly wavy edge, both cut well. I've tried cutting fine paper, printer paper, thick paper, the tough plastic packaging it came in, canvas, paracord, theraband and a few other materials and it cut them all great. They seem sturdy too and even though I've not had them very long I'm sure they will hold up fine under reasonable use. 5*, good value.

Maybe it was the materials that I bought these to cut, but they were not particularly suited to cutting underlay or carpet. An ordinary stanley knife does the job easier. These might be great for other things though.
Wasnt up to the job of trimming carpet, had hoped for precision but couldnt take it.

The retaining nut and bolt undo when using them. Unfortunately no matter what tightness (tight or loose) they always end up undone making the scissors unusable. I tried to remove the nut so I could apply thread lock to prevent the nut undoing but allowing the actuation of the blades, but the thread has been heated and hammered deliberately to prevent removal of the nut. So they make a crap product and put manufacturing time into preventing remedial modifications or repair. This is the worst kind of product, and Stanley put their name on it.

Purchased in the hope that the shears would cut carpet, sorry to say they do not. To be fair the ability to trim carpet is not mentioned on the packaging. They do cut solid materials with ease.
Perfect for cutting lead and tin with ease. Handy to have!
Great for trimming gutter guard
Really impressed with these, good quality blades leave a nice clean cut, comfortable handles nice and light in the hand or pocket. Great for cutting electrical metal and plastic capping and not as heavy as aviation shears!
