Easy to fit & good value. does the job well. fit with care, as the blade is brittle, do not overtighten.

First one snapped when tightening it onto frame so was sceptical about getting another one from tool station but it was ideal for shaving uneven edges on my tile backer board

This is a useful tool and it’s helpful to get replacement blades when they snap in use.
Check they'e got it. Then go and get it. Couldn't be easier
It broke on the first job I used it on, very flimsy
Blade is fine but one of the end clips was welded on in such a way that the blade didn’t lie flat. I fixed it with some judicious tapping with a hammer.
had this for years did not no you could still get spares works fine
Anchor points for fitting in the frame were not in the correct place, pne was off centre. Took back for a refund.

I bought some replacement blades for an old surform. They were delivered within a couple of days in a vastly oversized box but without any other problems.
However, I did find that the website did not clearly identify which blades fitted the different size surforms
As someone else found, the ends of the blade are slightly curved, so once installed the main part of the blade cannot make contact with the work piece. Tried to straighten it and it immediately snapped. Rubbish quality control from Stanley, but if Toolstation read these reviews they should have taken this up with Stanley, so pretty poor from you too Toolstation.
Threw it away as I couldn't bother to spend fuel returning a £4 item, and the bother of arguing that it broke because it's rubbish, not because I'm incompetent.
Haven't used this new blade yet but I've used a Stanley Surform for many years and have found it a very useful tool. This is just a standard, genuine blade replacement.

Quick and simple to fit.Good performance, quickly and easily reduced width of new garden gate to enable a perfect fit with the post.Thought job would be too demanding and that I would need to buy a plane but this did the job perfectly.I recommend this item to everyone.

I got this to replace an old surform blade that ive had for many years, put new life in an old tool. i didn't realise these were still available until i looked on toolstation web site i thought i would have to buy a completely new surform, so i get to keep my much better made surform and save money at the same time.
