Sick of buying plastic knifes that keep snapping. This one is alot more substantial so should last me out.
Great handy knife, retractable blade. Super for slicing behind silicon sealer and removing shower screens.
In theory, a novel design, but frustratingly impractical to use. Slider jams and is difficult to use. Body of tool gets in the way of the blade. The look of quality in the pics is not borne out when the product is handled. Although this is meant to be reuseable with a replaceable blade, once the blade in my knife has been used, the whole thing is going in the bin.
Clever design. I found it a bit confusing at first but once I figured it out it was fine.
Good solid knife, well constructed. Time will tell how blades sharpness last for.
Handy knife, robust and solid design easy to use. Not bad price
Best snap off knife ive had. Ribust and the blade actually locks. Bit fiddly compared to usual ones is the flip side.
Great knife. Strong robust & easy to load and store away. Really pleased so much better than the plastic equivalent.
An excellent product; easy to use, easy to change blades, sturdy and pleasant to handle
Used these for years, as has my father. Great item
Heavy metal Stanley knife feels as solid and dependable as you might expect. However, compared with more modern alternatives, it is slow and fiddle to use—the locking screw has to be turned every time you retract or load the blade... this can be irksome, but it functions well enough and the body always grips the blade securely (unlike some of the easier to use alternatives).
Great metal bodied snap off knife
Much more durable than the plastic versions out there, which basically begin to fall apart with constant use.
This feels much safer to hold inspiring confidence with regular use.
Great for cutting thick thermal insulation sheets
Yes it’s a well made knife but the sales presentation fails to mention that extending or retracting the blade is a real faff. To extend or retract the blade you have to twist release the yellow drum wheel, then press the slide button to move the blade. You make a cut then have to repeat the process to make the knife safe. Oh, and if you twist the drum wheel to far the knife body comes apart - this how the blade is changed and you spend time putting it back together.
Yes it’s well made, well priced, comfortable to hold, but I guess it won’t be long before I get a nasty cut when I forget to retract the blade and drop it into my pocket .
Superb service as always !!!
Toolstation always deliver
Thank you
Plastic mechanism soon breaks. Thought Stanley were of a good standard, seems they have put money before quality.
Stanley Knife, I was expecting better quality but to me it feels blocky and a little flimsy, spend a bit more and get something better quality
Ok, but not the best. If you tighten the thread at the end, you can't move the blade in and out. If left slack, the body doesn't close and rattles about. Could do better.
Really like this knife. Easy to use and easy to change blade.
Great knife but doesn’t seem to have the tool to snap the blades off.
The locking mechanism makes the blade super secure when in use. Blade change is easy.
