Nice sturdy folding knife works very well I like that it as a compartment to store extra blades
Bought one to replace an own brand knife I'd i ended for DIY which had a tendancy for the blade to come loose. The Stanley is much better construction and the blade always feels secure in use. I liked it so much I recently bought a second to gift a family member.
Overall its a nice knife with a good weight to it robust design only issue is when cutting tough surfaces the blade sometimes comes out on its own
Good strong knife heavy duty well priced reliable well built
Handy tool easy to use and replace blades far safer than having an open blade
It might not be the cheapest but the handy folding format, tool-less blade change and storage for four spare blades in the handle make this a great product.
It's also a reassuringly robust cast body.
This is my second knife of the same type. I bought the same one because it's very durable and comfortable.
Great knife, folds to keep in the pocket and opens for use instantly with one hand. The wrong hand in my case as i am left handed so the opening button is on the wrong side . However I don't suppose they will make a LH version just for me! I am actually being pedantic here, I just open with the right and transfer to the left. Blade change is easy and knife solid and well balanced.
Honestly superb just worried how the mechanism holds
Excellent bit of kit. If there's a slight moan it's that the button needs quite a lot of pressure to release and close the blade. But that may loosen with use.
Worst Stanley tool I've ever bought. It's now in the bin ,blade continues to fall out using pressure to cut and it doesn't seem to stay closed in the tool bag
Very solid, easy to change blades, compact. Used for plasterboard. Would buy again
After opening my FatMax retractable folding knife I struggled for upwards of an hour to insert a blade despite following the basic instructions. The sliding retractor control jammed in the forward position and the yellow button did nothing. I drove back to Toolstation and asked one of the staff for help. He tried tapping the end, pushing the yellow button in with a small screwdriver and closing and opening the knife all to know avail. After 30 mins he opened another one and swapped it with mine. It accepted a blade straight away and he said 'we've had a few of these back but you should be fine now.' Check yours before you leave the shop. Everything else is fine and I've used the knife several times and it matches expectation.
Great knife, used it to cut floor tiles for 22sq m kitchen. Comes with spare blades so completed the job in one go
Well built and retractable blade also stores 2 additional blades inthe handle.
for the money its brilliant.
Good knife. Helpful advice from the Toolstation about its features.
Brilliant, very effective and has already been used a lot.
Bought this blade to cut some rubber matting in my renovated bathroom
The 3 blades it came with came packed into the packaging and after a little bit of fiddling, i managed to fit the blades correctly into the holder.
The instructions weren't very good but perseverance is the key.
Anyway it cut through the rubber with ease and the folding mechanism coupled with the retracting blade and belt/ pocket clip are great for daily use
Can't fault it
Great service. Fast efficient and friendly. Can't ask for more.
Knife is great.
Easy to use, strong and comfortable to grip, would recommend
