It's a bit fiddly to close it up apart from that it's a good knife
Compact and effective tool. Does the job very well.
Absolutely delighted with my new Stanley Fat Max knife. I chose this knife for a number of reasons. Firstly Stanley is a name you can trust, I have many Stanley tools & everyone of them is a first class product. Secondly I wanted a knife you could not only fold for convenience but also be able to slide the blade into the handle for safety reasons. This was the primary reason why I chose the Stanley Fat Max. I also like you can store spare blades in the handle. My other Stanley knife is the type you unscrew the two halves of the handle to hold/remove spare blades. It holds a whole pack of 10 blades, my only issue with the Fat Max is it only holds 3 but that’s not really a major concern. It looks great in the standard yellow & black livery common to Stanley. There’s no movement or wobble in the pivot point between the handle & business end. It’s a solid piece & perhaps the biggest plus point I can give is it you can be confident in using the knife for any job, & you can do it safely. Genuine 5 star tool 👍
Good handle, retractable blade a bit loose on the guides but overall ok-ish
Stanley fatmax folding knife aged value knife from Stanley and sold my toolstation
Great product works well staff friendly and helpful
I ordered this Stanley Fatmax folding knife for collection and got a message within minutes to say it was ready for collection. Went to the store to pick up and the staff there were great. The folding part of the knife is great, it folds nice and compact. This is very useful for me as other knives are bulky in the pocket, this one takes up less room.
Excellent knife for everyday diy use.
Safety is paramount with the Fatmax knife.
The best folding knife I have. a feel that it's safer to use and can store spare blades. a very well thought out design.
Truly first class item. A pleasure to use.Good quality.
Very sturdy versatile and practical Useful in 1000 ways
Excellent item, but instruction sheet had very small writing, and the bit about how to close the knife is most confusing - look underneath the thing - it's then easy to see what you have to do! Otherwise very well pleased!
Fantastic knife and blades does what you need it too. Always go to stanley for a knife
Excellent quality and easier to carry when folded. Great product
great knife, easy to load/change blade and compact once folded
Nice knife but no blade supplied .A bit fiddly to shut.
The knife itself looks excellent, however getting out of packaging was a little tricky.
I haven't used it yet so can't comment on how it performs.
Its ok as a pocket knife to open boxes etc or cut a silicone nozzle or as a back up but its not great as a main knife for say cutting vinyl flooring as any thumb pressure and you end up pressing the button to retract the blade and the blade goes in. I used to have the normal stanley slide out mini knife which was easier to use, but with this one you have to open it and slide it as well and then press something inside to unlock it to shut it. I started just
leaving it open with the blade retracted but then the belt clip kept getting stuck on my pocket. Im such a moaner 😆
The cardboard packaging is a really bad idea/design. I had to strip the knife down to remove a piece lodged where the blade fits it. Instructions and diagram on the cardboard to remove are poor
I have a few stanley knifes already in diffrent tool bags, but I like to have a stanley in each bag as its such a handy tool, this stanley fatmax knife in particular not only slides the blade out,but it folds as well,so its the only type of knife i have that does both those things,I love farmax hand tools they are built strong and often stand out with a nice design appeal, toolstation was the best price around with a fast, friendly service as always in the thurrock branch.
