Ordered three sets. Each pack has two pieces. One pack had been opened and the solid bottom insert had been removed.
Serves a purpose but they’re more great. For a block of foam that’s meant to be precut and fit tightly they’re too big. They cause the walls of the boxes to push out which means the lid then doesn’t align with the base. As another review has said you can cut them to shape with a snap knife etc but you can’t remove layers unlike other shadow foams. You can only remove to the bottom layer.
Bought for Tstak VI case and it fitted well. Consists of 6 layers of foam, the only shame for me was that where you need to remove sections there was no choice and 4 layers come out so you can't mould tightly around a non-linear item, not the end of the world though, still better than things rattling around in bottom of case.
Bought two of these for my DeWalt TSTAK boxes (they are identical) but am rather disappointed.
It's a multi-layer pre-segmented foam which I imagined would be easy to configure for the tools I wanted to store but this did not prove to be the case.
The top 4 layers are the semented ones and pull out fairly easily leaving the bottom two as a cushion and that seems a good idea however I found it impossible to remove the segments layer by layer to suit the shape of the tools. It was either all or nothing.
You cannot leave little 'islands' of foam since of course if you pluck out all around some segments they are no longer attached to anything and just float so will require sticking down to the bottom layers with an adhesive.
One further point is you need to leave at least one row at the edge so teh overall storage volume is reduced.
I wish now I had purchased a pre-formed plastic insert from some of the well-known sites where these are advertised. It owuld have been around the same price but somewhat better for what I wanted.
The foam is overprices compare to quality and use of the foam.
