Brilliant thing, also comes with blades so no need for extra. Doesn't compare to any cheap stuff.
Great knife built to last without breaking the bank. Use it daily and never fails
On the whole it's OK but I feel it could be better. It's comfortable to hold and feels safe, with good control, so it does what it's supposed to do satisfgactorily.
But even after several days solid of using it, with a lot of blade changes - cutting 5.5mm plywood, then sheet vinyl flooring in two rooms, I found the loading and closing process a bit fiddly ( I got better at it, but it seems unnecessarily fiddly & the retraction button must be in the right place for the body to close properly & it's too easy to dislodge the blade from it's correct location).
I also found that the my thumb (right handed) tended to undo the big wheel, causing the knife body to become sloppy.
TBH I wish I'd been able to get a Shark or an OX one as their loading systems look easier
Very sturdy. I like that it is a firm, solid knife that I can rely on.
Brilliant cutter, it fits in the hand very nicely and works really well.
Good heavy duty version of the old Stanley knife. Like the fact that the body is big enough to use two hands on. Blade change is easy and the knurled wheel which opens the body spins well.
Worked extermely well on cutting L V Tiles which I had previously been using a more modern folding version. The larger body and grip area made the job easier.

I was looking for a knife to cut some carpet...this looked sturdier than most out there. The knife was easy to replace the blades with a large wheel knob to open the knife and access the spare blades. The knife had a good weight and it easily cut the carpet in one run of the blade .Recommended.
Felt very secure and solid in the hand. Once the blade was locked in place it felt very secure and safe

Great feel in the hand. Very comfortable and controllable which makes it safer in my opinion. The only thing that stops it getting five stars is the fact when you tighten the thumb wheel to close the knife a) it still has a slight gap at either end rather than mating squarely with the opposite half and b) if the thumb wheel is as tight as it will go (in order to try and close the two halves) then extending and retracting the blade becomes quite hard.
A great knife
It was a bit fiddly to use to start with. But now I’ve got the hang of the amount the big screw has to be turned to hold the knife together it’s great! The best thing about this knife is that it has the blades inside the shank so you never have to scrabble around in your boxes to find spare blades! Great idea!

I have the fold up stanley fat max. Which is very good. Just wanted one with more grip. And this one is perfect. Good control.
I’ve had many knifes but this one is perfect for me I can’t really say too much as it’s all down to personal preference with tools but I’m a dry liner and have to cut plaster all day and for me the handling of the knife is excellent and you get a good grip but again it’s down to personal preference
