Very good knife and good blade storage space well made and good quality
Long time since buying Stanley still well made with a very easy blade replacement feature, just got to remember to put it back in the houlder
After buying a few different Stanley utility knives, and them all being truly awful, mainly in build quality and, this was the last chance for Stanley. This knife is much smaller/thinner than expected, but the ergonomics are superb, it feels good in the hand, the balance is great and it holds at least 10 blades. The build quality is OK, but the internal casting is quite poor, but unlike other Stanley utility knives I've tried recently, this one fits together perfectly and is fairly easy to change blades. To open the casing, just rotate the wheel and the casing will open up. You can then see the blade storage and and the magnetic blade holder. Also, unlike the other's I tried, the blade exits this knife straight, in relation to the handle, and it is nice and slim at the front so you can see what you're cutting.
The plastic sheath is a bit cheap/flimsy, and feels like the blade will eventually come through the bottom of it.
I got the black version, and just from handling it, the white paint on the embossed logo is already coming off. I am not sure how long the black paint will last, but it seems OK for now.
Overall, if you want a fixed blade knife, that's ergonomic, feels great in the hand and has plenty of blade storage, with minimal rattle, this is worth a look.

Advantage on this one is that you can extend the blade on to the next stop cutting the plastebord from the front without shredding the paper on the back because you didn't have enough length on the blade , and the fast accessible being in a holster.

The knife itself is decent enough and the holder is a bonus, however I find the slight wobble of the blade slightly annoying, especially on precision jobs such as marking door hinges and latches. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase.
So this is my 3rd Stanley knife in 30 years. It lives in it's holster in my leg pocket ready to use. 10 year life span says it all. no springs or switches to go wrong, space for a couple of spare blades and really easy to change (even with cold hands!)
