Purchased this jig on a one time use basis for my kitchen refit. Did exactly what it needed to do and the worktop joints came out perfect. For the price it does the job.
As it says on the tin, solid neat and solid. Good buy.
Absolutely amazing price for this product, couldn't find one cheaper anywhere. Comes with the pins inside so don't order them as well.
Pegs do not sit flush, so the router will stop and will not glide over. Joiner bolt jig could be better too. Toolstation refunded me on this one.
Spot on for a fair priced jig easy to use no problem following instructions
Good, solid, heavy, quality template, comes with 6 pegs in the pack. Need 30mm guide boss
This jig is straightforward to use and gives accurate cuts for worktop joints. The provided instructions are clear and concise, but having never done this before, I did do a test run on an offcut to make sure I fully understood them.
Once I had done that, the real cuts were easily made and the resulting joints completely aligned.
With a few accurate measurements and calculations, I was even able to use the jig for straight cuts at the end of the worktop, and using my router gave a cleaner edge finish than a circular saw, which can chip the laminate surface.
Great performance and great value too
I think not bad for the price, not using everyday but few times already
I had never used a jig before for cutting worktops
I bought this to fit workshop top’s together. It was easy to use and did the job well.
At point of sale the jig description did not say or indicate that pegs/dowels were included so I ordered a pack of them for about £6. On delivery I opened the jig packaging to find 4 No. Pegs included so slightly peeved thar I bought the extra pegs for no reason. Other than that he jig is a decent bit of kit.
Excellent, as good as over priced ones. I would recommend using Vaseline on the plugs before putting them in
You need to use this template with a router with an 30mm guide bush and a plunge base. The guide pegs supplied are very stiff to get through the required holes so I used a mallet with a plastic head to hammer the pegs through and you may need a punch to get the pegs out. But this template was excellent value for money. Would recommend.
It’s waste of money, totally useless, key are so hard to remove caused broken at the end, not giving a Perfect joint, male side always cuts small, it’s impossible to achieve good joint
Not recommend to others at all
Worktop Jig, OK but could be better. Construction OK but slight play in profile.
Good quality for the price. Did the job perfectly for 3 kitchen top joints. The pegs start off very tight. Added a bit of vaseline and was very gentle knocking them in and put. After a while the pegs are now just snug. It was a lot cheaper then other well known brands, but wmam happy with it.
Pegs extremely tight. Need knocking out and when jig flips over, needed to chamfer with chisel to sit flush. NO 620mm peg hole for BQ worktops when sales advert stated 620mm as one of sizes.
Good price, does the job. Router moves along lovely and feels secure
I had order my worktop as part of the package for the whole kitchen. The plan was simple as the worktops now are square edged the joining was to butt them up removing the laminate from the female edge. Recess and bolt👍🏻
But no! To my dismay the worktop leading edge was rounded😡🤬😱 @#!k
As I only needed the jig for this one off event I plumbed for the cheapest I could find.
Perfect, The Jig 616mm arrived a day early too!
Followed the instructions, watched a couple of YouTube vids on how to... and did the deed.
Oh what, couldn't be easier!
You wouldn't know it wasn't professionally done.
My only complaint would be, the pegs are frustatingly hard to put in and remove but the jig is robust enough I just bashed them out with a nylon hammer and a bit of wood.
Frankly cheap and cheerful but very, very effective.
10 out of 10
Excellent Solid worktop jig at a very competitive price
Bought to mitre worktops for a kitchen refit at our daughter’s, watched a couple of how to videos on you tube and with a bit of moral support from a friend with kitchen fitting experience we got the tops cut jointed and fitted in a few hours.
The jig worked fine the pegs are tight but managed to knock them in and out with a mallet no problem.
