Great piece of hardware. I was looking for a hasp for an old gate which did not close perfectly flush. This hinged hasp worked perfectly and is solid and secure.

Easy to install. Bolts were too short so I had to order longer one and the 4 for the Staple were missing. Looks strong

I have fitted the clasp it fits and works excellently, a great purchase.

Hasp & Staple in black very good quality and feels secure. Would recommend if you need a necked hasp for your door.

fitting instructions and template were for a different product, hasp not 'drilled' for coach bolts

This a a nice item solidly-made by Squire. If a hasp'n'staple is adequate for your purposes it is ideal....however, one should always remember that such an arrangement is only as secure as its fixings, given a pry-bar can be shoved under it. Therefore, if one actually wishes it to stand up to attack, a little thought should be given to the screws, bolts or whatever one uses to fix it.

Very handy product when you have to secure a door that doesn't sit flush with a door frame.
I would score it 5 but wouldn't say its super strong.

I have been building a secure rabbit room having had three stollen and two killed in a stable in which their hutches lived. The double hinge hasp allowed me over overcome the offset location of the door related to the adjoining wall.

My garden shed has only had a ordinary door Yale lock for almost 35 years. As I got older I thought it need upgrading to make it more secure. The shed contains stuff we wouldn't want to lose even though it's not valuable. This offset hasp and staple lock fitted my shed door perfectly..

I riveted it to a steel ammo box tool make a secure storage box and it coped well with the surface irregularities which is what I needed.

Purchased item a few days ago, found it to robust with nice black finish and very simple to install
