A well made product that is worth the price. Decent length of travel which means it makes a secure bolt. I have used this at the top of a shed door and spring loading is very secure. I previously fitted one six years ago on a gate and there is no rust and the spring is still very strong.

Fitted using right angle brackets to a metal gate. Works well and can be operated easily by an average person.
I used these to secure by bi-folding garage doors from the inside top and bottom, the old traditional bolts had a habit of working their way round and dropping down on the top ones when it's windy. The spring on these ensures the bolt stays bolted however much the doors wobble about. The only minor issue with these is that the locking roll pins aren't always centred to the bolt so when put in unbolted position they can get stuck on the tang if it's the long side. Easy enough to fix, just give the pins a little tap with a hammer and align them centred to the bolt. Happy with them overall.
Not bad. The holes the bolt pass through are far too large so latching open is harder than it should be. As it can latch but the bolt can move so much it can slip off the detent. Adjusting the roll pin with a hammer helps. But for the price , ok.

I've now bought two of these and the first one is still going strong from about 5 years ago though it is in a sheltered spot so not fully exposed to the elements so rust on it etc., but my latest purchase will be. Feels substantially made and doesn't feel cheap. Spring loaded mechanism feels just right. No screws with it but not bothered as I've used some coated outdoor pozi screws for it, and usually these items come with poor screws anyway. Recommended.
