Prepped the silicon area (cleaned it), applied the product, waited for the prescribed period, but really didn't see much impact, and just removed the silicone with a stanley blade & removal tool.
Applied the silicone remover to the washbasin, left it for half an hour and it lifted easily with a silicone removal tool.
This product needs time to work and re-applied to the layer of silicon not removed after the first application.
I was sceptical about this before I tried it, shouldn't have worried it works really well. I cut off the excess, applied the remover and left for 15 minutes. The silicone came of really easily, it also removed residue from self adhesive hooks which had been on the tiles for some years.
Works great as a solvent remover as well as silicone remover
This silicone remover is brilliant for removing stubborn silicone in your bathrooms and in the kitchen.sil
Works very well. Very good product, followed instructions with great success.
Great great great great great great great great great
Worked well but can only dissolve thin layers of silicone, you still have to manually scrape off the first 95%, but still made the job much easier.
Simple application, allows the removal of the old silicone.
Soften the silicone for easier removal easy to use
I had to replace a basin waste fitting that was fixed using silicon sealer and didn’t hold out much hope of getting it clean but this product certainly lived up to its promise after a couple of coats
I’ve not used this before but it works perfectly. The brush in the bottle was rubbish as all the bristles were bent all over the place and it flicked the product all over the place, maybe I was unlucky but I’d rather have not had it there, I just used a small painting brush with soft bristles instead. Remove as much silicone as you can physically first as it works much better on the thin silicone residue.
Helps to remove the last dregs of sealant when you have manually scraped it all off so that the new application adheres. NB the brush is attached to the lid now not separate and they don't give you a plastic scraper to help get the sealant off anymore.
Excellent product, easy to apply, and fast working. Highly recomended
Just like a lot of other reviews, this product hardly touches cured silicone. You'll need to virtually remove all old silicone apply product and repeat several times to get a good finish. I'm beginning to wonder if there is a brand out there that actually works.
It works but not 100%. I used this for an ensuite that had its old silicone lifting and so leaked.
I had removed most of the existing and want to have a clean and clear surface.
It took 3 attempts at this even though there was minimal silicone stil attached and I left the remover for longer each time to see if it just needed more time to activate.
Very poor on old silicone, even when i left for days
Sometimes works Sometimes doesn't, but good to have if it does. Ruff up old seal, then add and wait 30mins.
Not recommended very poor even after a few coats left over night
