There is a learning curve to apply the foam evenly and economically. I found that I needed to carefully press the trigger to release the correct amount of foam, to much and it blasts everywhere. Wear old clothes and protect surrounds because it gets messy. This worked well, stuck my panels against an uneven loft end wall.
Follow the instructions and it works as per them. As it's expanding foam I found it goes on expanding quite a while, which you need to take account of if you are trying to stick a square of plasterboard into a hole in a wall re the final level.
Utterly unusable tin of useless goo. It comes out of the nozzle so slow that it's tacked off long before you can finish even the smallest of panels. I resorted to levering the dispenser off and trying to extrude enough into a blob to paste onto the panel. But still absolutely impossible. Discharges at the rate of a teaspoon per second, intermittently. Then continues to do so when the nozzle is released. Perfect product anybody that you absolutely despise. Personally I don't hate anyone that much. Toolstation are great but Soudal are to be avoided at all costs if you treasure your sanity.
Great product, easy to use, doesn’t stick as many boards as the can states
Good value, quick easy for small plasterboard jobs
First timer, followed instructions, maybe did not wait long enough on the first board but with some water spray and a 5 minute wait work wonders. A lovely clean look on bare plaster without 100 holes (wasn’t plastering the wall) would recommend but you need research before using
First time using this and must say it bonded excellent. Recommend appying with the board flat if possible so it stays in place whilst applying
Very easy to control the flow with the trigger. Great design.
Great product and better than using metal gun. You can seal the tube and remove jet to blow out with cleaning solvent to reuse adhesive again, just like new. Also used as expanding foam to seal gap between floor and plasterboard. Learning curve on pressing trigger but that’s same as a foam gun!
This product worked well applied as a 'frame' to attach foam-backed plasterboard to the walls of a cupboard to insulate.
Without doubt, this stuff seriously sticks plasterboard firm. No mess, no fuss and much less work than powder adhesive. However, one massive caveat if walls are terribly uneven avoid. It’s not that it doesn’t stick, it just keeps expanding and joints end up all over the place. With a thin bead on the back of a dampened board, wait 5 mins until adhesive is stringy and it stick and stays put. With uneven walls, much thicker foam on the board, wait 5 mins until stringy but it’s really only the surface of the foam that is stringy. As soon as you press on the wall exposing the inner, wetter foam to the air again it sticks but then continues to expand another 5mm or more. Then, no amount of pressing helps as the already cured outer layer slowly springs it back after you apply pressure. If like me you decide to go back to plaster adhesive, make sure you pull it off the wall before it fully cures.
Great easy to use and did exactly what I wanted it to do
Awful, it ended up over the floor, struggled to stick to rear of plasterboard, it expanded unequally so the boards were not flush, ended up ripping one of the board off and redoing it. We'd dot and dab again next time.
Better than I thought it would be, but doesn’t expand much so don’t expect it to replace dot and dab
Bought this to fix plasterboard to inside top of reveal. Very tight depth so no room for any kind of studding. Applied it as instructions and excellent. Issue solved. Recommended
Quality, needs a little getting used to if you’re not used to it. Didn’t have any problems using it which had to be fixed this way and not with battens because of the type of wall.
I used this soudal when attaching 12.5mm plasterboard onto my lounge wall as part of a sound proofing project. Follow the instructions and it works great.
really good stuff, sets quickly, follow the instructions and you wont go wrong. needs support whilst setting.
Great product, easy to use and did the job nicely. Not too messy and didn’t expand as much as other adhesives I have used
I have tried a lot of off the shelf hair mousse and never found one that holds my Elvis quiff up properly. Soudal genius is a game changer, it styles my hair perfectly and the smell drives the ladies wild. Only problem is it gets the wasps all het up as well but that’s a small price for looking and feeling like The King
